I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups from diverse cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. My career has taken me across the U.S. and abroad—including New York City, California, and Dublin, Ireland—giving me a broad perspective on the many ways people navigate life’s challenges.

I also bring both clinical expertise and personal insight into the challenges that arise in connection with personality disorders such as Narcissistic, Borderline, Avoidant, and Antisocial Personality Disorders. In particular, I help clients process and heal from the emotional trauma that often accompanies relationships impacted by these dynamics.
My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique experience. Whether you are seeking support around identity, relationships, or recovery from difficult past experiences, I provide a safe and affirming space where growth and healing are possible.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I find joy in activities that keep me grounded and creative. I love traveling and exploring new places, tending to my garden, playing the piano, working out, and cooking. I also have a passion for interior design and creating welcoming spaces. Most importantly, I value quality time with my family, friends, and my dog, Batman, who always manages to bring a smile to my day.
Life is full of change, and sometimes those changes can feel overwhelming. I believe there is no single “right way” to handle life’s challenges, which is why I take a person-centered and integrative approach to therapy. My goal is to help you feel supported and more at ease with where you are while working toward where you want to be.

I fell in love with psychological studies in high school. Becoming a therapist has fulfilled my curiosity about human existence and my quest for happiness. I used therapy to overcome my own struggle with fears, shame, and self-doubt, which has affirmed my faith in the helping profession. I have learned through training and personal experiences that all human beings have the same basic quests in life and that we all deserve a chance to develop our unique potential, contribute uniquely to the tapestry of life, and be happy. I have also learned that human growth can only lead to spiritual development and discovery. My growth in understanding the common threads of humanity helps me treat my clients with respect and compassion. I have had extensive training in CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused, and insight-oriented therapies. My inclination is to use an integrated approach that meets clients where they are and helps propel them forward to achieve their objectives.
If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional, and I’m committed to helping you create real, sustainable progress in your life and relationships.
Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.
Professionally, I hold dual licenses in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), allowing me to work with individuals, families, and couples. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, and depression, with a deep passion for supporting those who have experienced trauma. I believe healing begins with a strong therapeutic connection, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, valued, and empowered.

Hello, I’m A.J., a Licensed Master Level Social Worker from the U.P. of Michigan. Faith, Family, and Fellowship are things that I strive to live for daily. My faith is very important to me. I am involved in Men’s Ministry inside and outside of my church. Haggai 2:9 is a verse that is close to my family's heart: “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty, in this place I will grant peace, declares the Lord Almighty.” My goal and prayer is that I can help individuals move into a better place than they were when therapy first began. My wife and I have three boys and one grandson. Our family enjoys spending time outside on our 20-acre property “Creation Acres” or getting away camping. My boys and I enjoy spending time in the woods or on the lake.
I graduated from Ferris State University in 2018 with my Master’s Degree in Social Work after attending Lake Superior State University completing Criminal Justice / Public Safety Emphasis Bachelor’s Degree and a Paramedic Technology Associate’s Degree in 2008. I have experience working directly with law enforcement as a dispatcher and working in the public safety field as a fire fighter and as an EMT. I currently work for the Michigan Department of Corrections as a mental health specialist. Prior to this career, I worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a foster care case manager and a juvenile justice / juvenile delinquency case manager.
I look forward to working with you during your journey.
NOTICE – Due to my current position with the Michigan Department of Corrections, I am unable to accept referrals or work with anyone on parole or probation.
Are you feeling stuck, telling yourself that you are going to change, but somehow ending up doing exactly what you promised yourself you wouldn’t do? Do you convince yourself that you are going to move forward and then find that anxiety, hopelessness, harsh self-judgments, or a bad temper take control and push you backwards? Do you find yourself in relationship patterns that leave you feeling cut off from those you long to be close too? If this sounds familiar, you don't have to face this alone. There are reasons you feel this way, and you can discover what those reasons are and how you can change to live a more fulfilling life.
You may feel stuck because the way you are trying to solve your problems is by going back to the same strategies that got you stuck in the first place. It can be confusing seeing yourself stuck in thoughts and behaviors you know don’t work. Often this is because in the moment those strategies appear to be the only sensible choice, even when they aren’t.
If you choose to work with me, together we can explore the ins and outs of that confusion so that you can find your way out of it. Because that can often feel threatening and disorienting, I will be patient and give you the space and safety needed to do this work at your own pace. Be that fast or slow or in-between. I look forward to working with you.
Hi, I'm Mario Weber, a mental health counselor and school psychologist in Florida with over 20 years of experience supporting people of all ages.

If you're ready to make a change, sono qui per aiutarti / estoy para ayudarte / I'm here to help you. I look forward to working with you.
Hi there! Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. From someone who has had their own personal struggles with mental health, I want you to know that you are not alone. I strive to create a space for you to feel seen, heard, and safe. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand how difficult it can be to take that next step. Finding the right therapist can be hard. Finding someone to support you, challenge you, and hold space for the things most people in our life have no idea we are facing. I would be honored to be that space for you. I hope we can work together to help you reach your goals. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the CAU University of Florida and have been practicing for 15 years. I help adults struggling with depression/anxiety to improve their general mental state and be able to function better in daily life activities. Throughout my time in counseling I have been able to help many clients overcome their problems that limit them from functioning at their full potential.
Hi! I'm a dedicated therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress management, I am committed to helping you navigate and heal from life’s heaviest challenges. My practice is rooted in a client-centered approach, meaning I prioritize your unique needs and always strive to "meet you where you're at" on your mental health journey. Together, we will work collaboratively to uncover your strengths, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools for lasting growth.
During my youth, I navigated significant trauma, including abuse and profound loss. With limited resources at the time, I turned to substances to cope. However, my healing journey truly began when I started serving others. This path led me to become deeply active in my community and church, eventually becoming an EMDR Therapist. If I can heal, so can you. I first encountered EMDR in 2012, but I was resistant-it simply felt "too good to be true." That changed in 2023 when I finally experienced my first session and underwent formal training. EMDR as a model is life-altering. Today, I am a certified practitioner in Transformational EMDR under Dr. Andrew Dobo and EMDRIA. My mission is to share the hope and healing EMDR offers. By pursuing advanced certifications and discovering new ways to utilize this modality, I help those who are suffering unlock the door to a more peaceful, productive, and healthy life.
I am a Board Certified, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) serving Florida with almost two decades of experience. I know the power of having someone who “gets it” and can navigate the issues that impact men today. Together, we work toward stronger connections, clearer purpose, and greater resilience, so that you can reach your full potential and live a life that you deserve.

What typically surprises people is that I am the 11th of 13 children - all from the same parents. Growing up with so many siblings has given me a great opportunity to learn about family dynamics and effective discipline. My parents did a great job of maintaining a safe and well-behaved home, and I use their example as a template while also incorporating my own experience as a parent for working with families today.

John Checkett is the first man in history to earn a master's degree in Women's Studies in Florida.
How many times has this happened to you: You've made an innocent remark, and the other person distorts it and blames you for the distortion, not for what you actually said. That's called the Strawman Argument and is a common problem of communication -- communication typically being the single biggest problem couples have. Communication is one of the social sciences, and one of John's specialties, along with Women's Studies, Pastoral Psychology and Clinical Social Work.
He helps high-functioning men and women free themselves from low self-esteem and negative thinking. As a former officer in the Theosophical Society and a former professional psychic, he firmly believes in the value of Spirituality to Mental Health. He can also help with exercise and nutrition, to help create a holistically healthy situation for you.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, or just feel overwhelmed, Prof Checkett is here to help -- even with time management! You might feel bit nervous about starting therapy, but he's extremely easy to talk to, knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, and very media-literate. Most people feel better after a session. In a short time we can get you unstuck and back to living a happy life again.

Hi, I’m Philip Crouse, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. My clinical background is rooted in high-acuity environments, meaning I am highly experienced in helping individuals navigate complex crises, severe anxiety, deep depression, and the heavy weight of addiction and trauma.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or buried by recent life events, my goal is to help you find air to breathe right now. I don't believe in just sitting and nodding while you vent; therapy should be active. We will work collaboratively using practical, evidence-based tools—like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused techniques—to dismantle unhelpful behavioral loops and build immediate, actionable coping strategies.
I operate from a strictly trauma-informed framework. This means I understand that safety and nervous system stabilization are the prerequisites for any real healing, and your autonomy and pace are always my top priorities.
Whether you are navigating intense grief, the pressure of a major life transition, or the ongoing impact of past trauma, I provide a grounded, non-judgmental space where you are seen as a resilient survivor. Together, we can shift from just talking about the problem to actively building the functional, manageable life you deserve.

Welcome. My practice is built upon a unique intersection of experience: 15 years of distinguished military service across active-duty Army and Air Force Reserve roles, advanced clinical social work, and public health analysis. Having practiced across the entire spectrum of care—including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and telehealth environments—I blend rigorous, evidence-based science with a practical, real-world understanding of high-stress environments and systemic challenges.
I am dedicated to keeping my practice fresh and innovative, making it a professional priority to master a new therapeutic methodology every two years. My primary modalities are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I draw from a diverse toolkit that includes Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to tailor care to your exact goals.
To ensure the highest quality of focused, dedicated care, I intentionally maintain a very small, selective caseload. I balance my clinical practice with full-time leadership in public-sector macro social work implementation. Consequently, my slot availability is highly specialized—offering lunch-hour and select weekend appointments designed specifically for lower-acuity, working professionals who need premium care that fits seamlessly around a demanding career schedule. If you require standard weekday business-hour appointments, I will unfortunately be unable to accommodate that need; however, if a focused lunch or weekend slot aligns with your routine, I look forward to working together.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor practicing in the state of Florida, and I’ve had the privilege of working in a wide range of mental health settings—from substance abuse treatment facilities to crisis stabilization centers. These experiences have taught me that healing rarely follows a straight path, and that every individual carries a unique story, shaped by struggle, resilience, and hope.
As a former CPA/business owner I bring my unique life’s experiences of serving clients, coaching teams of business professionals and personal growth to the field of counseling. As a business leader, husband and father of, now, young adults, I spent many hours with my own coaches and therapists who helped me understand my struggles and explore my strengths and weaknesses to make myself and those around me better. I use a client/couple/family-centered strength-based approach to psychotherapy that focuses on You Shaping You. The Couple Shaping the Couple. The Family shaping the Family.

Hi, I'm Mike Bailey. I was born and raised in North Florida, and I bring both professional experience and personal life experience into the work I do with clients. Over the past five years in clinical practice, I’ve had the privilege of helping people navigate challenges related to mental health, substance use, and personal growth.
My path has also been shaped by my own experiences. As a person in recovery from substance use disorder, I have maintained nine years of continuous sobriety. Recovery has taught me the value of resilience, self-awareness, and connection, and it allows me to bring a deeper level of understanding and empathy to the people I serve.
I believe that every individual’s journey is unique. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. Learning how to be a compassionate and objective guide for others has become my life’s work.

I strive to create a safe and healthy space for everyone and meet everyone with compassion. I utilize several evidence-based therapy techniques and some humor now and then.
