I’m David, a licensed therapist who creates a calm, supportive space for adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and moments of feeling “stuck.” I know how overwhelming it can feel to start therapy, and I honor the courage it takes to reach out. My approach is grounded in compassion, clarity, and collaboration. Whether you’re feeling unlike yourself, moving through recurring patterns, or simply wanting to reconnect with your sense of direction, I’m here to listen and help you move forward with confidence and care

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take things at an easy pace. You can share what’s been going on in your life, what brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping to get out of this process. I’ll ask some questions to get to know you better, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the start. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for my style and see if working together feels like a good fit as we explore your next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths as a therapist is my ability to truly listen. Techniques and tools matter, but real change starts with feeling seen and understood. I focus on building a genuine connection so you feel prioritized, supported, and valued every step of the way. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself and know that your experiences, emotions, and goals are at the center of our work together.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with people who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by things like trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, indecision, or worries about the future. Many of my clients come in knowing something needs to change but aren’t sure where to start and that’s completely okay. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can sort through your thoughts, understand what’s getting in the way, and start building the kind of life you want. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on healing, clarity, and steady growth so you feel more grounded, confident, and resilient over time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is one of the most evidenced-based practices with proven results in therapy. What I find most helpful in using an approach rooted in CBT are the tools of reframing and redefining situations you are currently experiencing or those difficult challenges from the past. We develop automatic thoughts about what people’s intentions are or how we see ourselves. This can be adjusted through cognitive restructuring to reflect more of how we want to live rather than how we have been shaped by our experiences.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I take a Person-Centered approach, which means your goals, values, and needs guide everything we do. I’ll walk alongside you, respecting your unique perspective and helping you build clarity and confidence as you move forward. Our work together is collaborative and focused because your growth is the priority, and we’ll shape the process around what matters most to you.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you shift the way you talk about your challenges because the words we use can shape how we see ourselves. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that hold you back and reframe your story in a way that builds confidence, self-esteem, and momentum. This approach opens up real possibilities for growth and helps you move through life’s hurdles with clarity and strength.
