Hello there! I am a licensed mental health therapist who has experience working with individuals and families from many different walks of life. Growing up as a young black man, I have experienced my own personal difficulties with mental health. I have faced the stigma of mental health issues that leads many to struggle in silence. I have experienced a lack of available resources to truly get the support I felt I needed. I strive to create a space for clients to feel heard and validated in their experience. I collaborate with clients to determine their goals for treatment and provide holistic, compassionate, and client-centered care. Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.
Prepare to meet a therapist who is open-minded, compassionate, and collaborative. My goal is to ensure you get the most out of our time together.
As a mental health provider, I meet each person where they are at in their own personal journey. I possess strong empathy, active listening skills, clear communication skills, and have the ability to foster a safe and trusting relationship that allows clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a genuine and open way.
I am a mental health therapist passionate about serving individual clients in need. I empower my clients battling issues related to anxiety-related disorders, depression and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, poor emotional regulation, difficulties with stress, anger management, relationship problems, and many more.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps potential clients struggling with mental health issues by teaching them to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and unhelpful behaviors that contribute to their distress. Through structured techniques like cognitive restructuring and exposure therapy, clients learn to replace harmful thoughts with more balanced ones and gradually face feared situations. This approach empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
