My name is Michael and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. As a psychotherapist, my vocation is supporting individuals, working together on your journey toward self-discovery, healing, and learning to thrive from the comfort and convenience of your home or office, and when it is most convenient for you. My work commonly addresses individuals experiencing difficulties in life due to problems stemming from difficulties early in life, anxiety, depression, major life changes, academic challenges (undergrad, graduate, post-graduate studies), the discomfort of feelings that go along with hypervigilance, procrastination, and perfectionism.
Sometimes, we need help from someone new, experienced with developing collaborative relationships to find strengths we take for granted, and to embrace that we can be the person we’re meant to be.
Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or major life changes? Let’s talk!
I do not prescribe medication, and I do not see clients under the age of 18.
Welcome! I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in helping individuals navigate the complexities of substance abuse, mental health challenges, trauma, and relationship difficulties. My work is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique struggles that many face, from the impact of childhood experiences to the ongoing challenges of adulthood. I offer support through adult child therapy, guiding individuals in healing from past wounds and cultivating healthier relationships with themselves and others. In addition, I provide adaptive parenting strategies to empower parents in navigating the ups and downs of life.
I'm Melixa Carbonell, a licensed therapist and the founder of A Different Lens Counseling. I hold licenses in Florida (LMHC) and Colorado (LPC), and I'm a National Certified Counselor and an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. I see adults by video for ADHD and anxiety, and much of my work is with women and healthcare professionals. I also have ADHD and work in healthcare myself, so I bring both training and firsthand understanding. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and open to everyone.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience helping teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, high functioning Autism Spectrum, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, emotional overwhelm, and family conflict. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel emotionally safe while also being genuinely challenged toward growth and healing. My approach is compassionate, insightful, and practical. I help clients better understand themselves, develop healthier coping skills, improve relationships, strengthen boundaries, and create lasting emotional change — not just temporary symptom relief. I especially enjoy working with high-functioning individuals who are used to being strong for everyone else but are ready to finally receive support themselves.
I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years . Much of this experience has been working in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of service that the hospital provides is quite comprehensive which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population . i have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also providing counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic, depends on the client and their unique set of problems. Also I have been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with the above issues and involving their parents when indicated.

Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.
I am a compassionate and passionate therapist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and cared for. I provide empathy, active listening, reassurance, and comfort, helping clients feel grounded as they navigate life’s challenges. My practice is centered on the belief that healing begins with connection and that even small steps forward can lead to meaningful change.
My practice, “A Talk Today, A Change Tomorrow,” reflects my belief that it only takes a few intentional conversations to begin creating a brighter tomorrow. While change may not happen overnight, each session builds on the last bringing greater clarity, healing, and growth. Every talk is a step forward, moving clients closer to lasting change, one day at a time.
My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental and practical. I believe in creating a safe space while also helping you develop real-life tools for change. My specialties are in the areas of adult transitions (male/female), relationship challenges and clinical issues such as anxiety, and depression. My intensive clinical training and therapeutic skills help many people navigate through life's inherent up and downs, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Coping Skills Development with a Solution-Focused approach. and Strengths-Based Therapy). Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness.
People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it?
Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! Make your appointment today!
Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy, based in South Florida. I have a deep appreciation for the richness and complexity that culture, identity, and lived experience bring into the therapy room. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, and I have a particular heart for first-generation individuals and families who are often holding the weight of two worlds — honoring where they came from while finding their footing in where they are.
My specialty is working with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of early experiences. Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you, please call me Dee. I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and a retired Army veteran. I have over 18 years
of professional counseling experience working with both children and adults. My undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Mary
Hardin-Baylor and my graduate degree earned at the University of North Florida.
Credentials:
Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Nationally Board-Certified Mental Health Counselor
Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Florida Board Certified Telehealth Practitioner
Certified Supervisor for Post Graduate Mental Health Counselors
I have served clients as individuals, families, and within group environments. Additionally, my counseling experience has included inpatient, outpatient, and crisis stabilization units within the Florida Department of Corrections. I also served as the mental health authority within medium to low-risk juvenile inpatient programs. My experience also includes working within community social service agencies and Medicaid programs. In my years of professional experience, I have found that Depressive and Anxiety Disorders are managed best using Psychotherapy. Whereas many clients may find it helpful to include Antidepressant/Antianxiety medications, it has been my experience that medications alone are less effective and are often supported by Counseling Intervention with a Professional Counselor.
I predominantly work with young men struggling with social anxiety disorder. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfilling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!
With a career spanning over 27 years, I am a distinguished Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, recognized for my extensive work in both high-paced agency environments and specialized private practice. Throughout my two and a half decades of practice, I have cultivated a unique expertise in navigating the intersection of culture, socio-economic status, and individual mental health. Having worked with a vast spectrum of clients—from adolescents finding their identity to adults navigating complex life transitions—I bring a seasoned, evidence-based approach to every session. My clinical philosophy goes beyond symptom management; it is rooted in the belief that adversity is a catalyst for profound personal evolution. By integrating a wealth of clinical modalities with a culturally responsive lens, I empower clients to dismantle long-standing obstacles and build a foundation for sustainable health and professional excellence.
Hey there! I’m Craig Lampkin, and I’m thrilled to be a native New Yorker. I became a marriage and family therapist because I’m passionate about hearing people’s stories and helping them through their journeys. My journey started at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in NYC, which really adds a creative flair to my therapy sessions.
I love incorporating visual cues along with a variety of therapeutic approaches to keep our time together engaging and fun! We’ll team up to explore new coping strategies, decision-making skills, and problem-solving techniques that can help you thrive in life.
In my practice, I use different therapeutic modalities as key tools to support your growth in thinking, emotions, and physical abilities while reducing any troublesome behaviors. I tailor these methods to fit your unique needs.
For instance, Cognitive Therapy helps in shifting negative thought patterns, while Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combines thoughts and actions to tackle various psychological challenges. If you’re dealing with trauma, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Therapy can provide a safe space to process those experiences.
Narrative Therapy is all about empowering you to rewrite your life story, whereas Structural Therapy focuses on enhancing family dynamics to mend conflicts. With Strategic Therapy, we’ll employ specific strategies to tackle problems, and Solution-Focused Therapy will help us zero in on your goals and strengths for positive outcomes.
Together, these approaches work wonderfully to boost your well-being and personal growth. Let’s embark on this journey together!

Hello! I’m Dr. Thuydy (pronounced "Tweety"), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, and Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating intimacy challenges, compulsive sexual behaviors, trauma, and relationship concerns. My doctoral research focused on trauma-informed treatment for compulsive sexual behaviors, which I bring into my clinical work with compassion, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach.
I understand how difficult it can feel to navigate disconnection, conflict, or shame, especially when intimacy, sexuality, or past trauma are involved. My approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, shame-resilient, and inclusive. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients from all backgrounds feel respected and supported, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+, engage in kink or BDSM, or practice consensual non-monogamy or polyamory.
Together, we'll explore your unique experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical tools for resilience, communication, and self-compassion. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, somatic interventions, and shame resilience principles to create a personalized path toward healing, connection, and lasting growth.
Anxiety, depression, and relationship issues are experiences that many of us encounter at various times in our lives. If you are feeling overwhelmed by negative emotions or believe you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any combination of stressors affecting your peace of mind and relationships, "you don't have to keep feeling this way." You are not alone in your struggles, and you deserve to regain the peace of mind and joy that seem to elude you right now. "Let's find a way forward together - with compassion, clarity, and lasting change." My primary goal is to help you transition from merely feeling good to truly living well.
Whether you are facing a specific crisis or a slow accumulation of challenges that has left you feeling unlike yourself, my clinical work offers a safe, judgment-free space to begin moving toward greater clarity and well-being. I draw on a carefully integrated blend of evidence-based frameworks, selecting and tailoring techniques based on each client's unique needs, history, and goals.
My therapeutic approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Process-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mind-body techniques. This approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change requires attending to the whole person — mind, body, and the relational world we inhabit. Through ACT, you will learn to be more psychologically present, connect with your values, and make space for life’s inevitable pain. You will also discover how to take actionable steps despite emotional discomfort and cultivate an appreciation for each moment in your life.
While my specialty is brief therapy, some situations may require an extended therapeutic relationship, which can be beneficial for adults and parents dealing with complex mental health challenges and navigating difficult child-rearing adjustments at home.
I am a 46 year old single father of two wonderful boys. I found my purpose as a therapist after years in the business world. Life’s successes and failures have helped shape me into someone who can empathize with just about any situation a client brings into session. In addition to work, I enjoy living an active, playful life with my kiddos.
Biography: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I facilitate the spiritual, mental and emotional healing process through talk therapy. The focus of most of my adult life has been to be a skilled helper to people in need. If you're ready to work towards the life you've always wanted, we're ready when you are. Contact me today and let's get to work.
I'll skip the buzz words and get to the point. If you've been holding it together with caffeine, sarcasm, and sheer willpower, you're not alone...and you don't have to keep doing it that way. I'm Dr. Patrick Hanson, DSW, LCSW, and I help children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigate anxiety, burnout, Trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting effects of difficult experiences.
My approach is genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when you can show up exactly as you are, without worrying about saying the "right" thing or pretending everything is okay. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
I strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and challenged in a way that promotes growth. Some sessions may include laughter, others may be emotional, but every session is focused on helping you better understand yourself and move toward the life you want to live. Whether you're facing a current struggle or carrying experiences that continue to affect you today, we'll work together at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more hopeful, a little more empowered, and knowing you don't have to figure it all out alone.

Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in sunny Florida! I received my master’s degree from the University of South Florida and have been licensed and practicing for 30 years, treating all ages. I work with a wide array of areas, including anxiety, depression, life skills, and grief. I am a certified provider specializing in trauma, grief, ADHD, and dementia. I use a client-centered and collaborative approach. As we work together, you will find that a major focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel supported and understood. I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and a great listener. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a structured, goal-oriented therapy that encourages you to focus on current problems and find solutions, rather than dwelling on the past. This approach allows you to manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns by identifying and changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I look forward to working together, problem-solving, and helping you feel like yourself again!
I am a Licensed Mental Health counselor, located in Florida. I use humor and honesty, and I believe in the power of validation. I specialize in helping people who have chronic pain or medical issues. I have been living with Young-Onset Parkinson’s Disease (I am 56) for 12 years, and I understand the challenges, both physically and mentally, of living with a diagnosis, any diagnosis. I may not be able to take the diagnosis away. , but I can help you with the inevitable depression and anxiety that may come with it. The mind/body connection is real.
Hello and thanks for stopping by. Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted? Maybe you find yourself overthinking your decisions, struggling to set boundaries, or repeating relationship patterns that leave you questioning yourself. You know that you want something different but you're unsure how to move forward. Whatever you're experiencing, you don't have to face it alone. I helped women understand how past experiences and relationship patterns may be showing up in their lives today. Imagine moving through your days with greater calm and clarity. Imagine feeling more confident in your decisions, more connected to yourself, and more comfortable showing up as your authentic self. Healing does not mean forgetting what happened or moving through it alone, it means having the support and tools to understand your experiences and create a new path forward. You don't have to navigate your healing journey by yourself.

Hi, my name is Renée and I have over 10 years of experience working in the field of mental health.
Do you feel you are in need of help with everyday relationship skills and/or emotional issues. Relationships are the heart of life, and I am passionate about the skill of connecting with each other in order to learn not only about our relationships but to truly understand our own minds as well. Relationships are what tie us together and what motivate us to move forward in life. I am here to help you build positive relationships with not only the ones around you but with the one you have with yourself. My goal in sessions is to help guide my clients to achieve their goals through a psychodynamic lens and really tap into what has caused these unhealthy/maladaptive coping mechanisms.
