Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like life never "lets off the gas?" I specialize in working with adults, adolescents and children with Anxiety, ADHD, Adoption issues, Depression, Grief, Substance Use disorders, and more. I believe that from time-to-time life can feel overwhelming and that when something traumatic happens we can find ourselves in need of additional trained help to cope. I approach every client from a non-judgmental and empathetic view while helping them return to being their best self. It is my goal as a professional counselor to be that person who can walk alongside you on your journey to healing. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida (MH #16403). I received my Master’s Degree in Psychology and and Clinical Counseling from Troy University and have been a clinical counselor since 2015, with a focus helping my clients learn and incorporate healthy coping skills to reduce their anxiety and regain control over their life.
I use primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral approach to counseling while incorporating Motivation Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Positive Psychology modalities as they would be needed or helpful interventions for clients on an individualized basis.
My primary tools are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy based interventions and tools along with Mindfulness and Grounding Techniques.
I believe my biggest strength is helping clients feel validated and normalized what they are experiencing while also motivating them to reach their personal goals despite adversity and life's setbacks.
I am fondest of all my clients and have specialized in family counseling including children, teens, adults, and the family system for ten years.
