About me

I’m Erin Gray, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. With over 20 years in the mental health field and a private practice since 2017, I specialize in supporting women through life’s most defining, challenging, and transformative moments. My clients often come to me at a crossroads—launching careers, starting families, coping with illness or loss, or simply trying to reconnect with themselves in a fast-moving world. Who I work with: I primarily support women (20s–50s+) navigating: Life transitions—new jobs, motherhood, marriage, pregnancy, divorce Anxiety, depression, and burnout interfering with daily life Grief and loss, including the impact of chronic illness or cancer Identity shifts—those “Who am I now?” or “What’s next for me?” moments A longing for purpose, creativity, and clarity How I help: My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I meet you where you are—offering support, insight, and tools to help you build resilience, rediscover your strengths, and move forward with confidence. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about creating space for your growth. I often weave in humor, creativity, and reflections from nature and pop culture to make therapy feel both meaningful and approachable. Whether we’re unpacking hard emotions or celebrating small wins, our work is rooted in warmth, curiosity, and authenticity. What to expect: A safe, judgment-free space where you feel seen and understood A therapist who knows growth isn’t one-size-fits-all Online sessions that fit your life Insurance and private pay options You don’t need to have it all figured out—just a willingness to begin. If you’re ready to explore what’s next, I’m here to walk with you.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions—relief, nervousness, even uncertainty—and that’s completely normal. In our first session, my focus is on creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and heard. Before we meet, I’ll send some simple paperwork so we can spend more time talking and less time on details. We’ll go over what brought you here, your hopes for therapy, and any questions you might have. I may ask about your history or past therapy experiences, but we’ll go at your pace—there’s no pressure to share everything right away. Together, we’ll start putting words to what’s been weighing on you and outline gentle, realistic goals. Whether it’s reducing anxiety, processing grief, or navigating a life transition, our first session is about beginning your journey toward feeling more grounded and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over a decade in private practice, one of my greatest strengths is creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and heard. My style is warm and collaborative—I work with my clients, not on them. I take an eclectic approach, blending Humanistic, CBT, and Behavioral Therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. My background includes training under a Behavioral Psychologist, giving me tools to support clients facing anxiety, panic, and avoidance patterns. I also have a strong interest in helping women manage stress, burnout, and life transitions. Above all, I care deeply about my clients’ well-being. My greatest strength isn’t just my training, but the way I show up: compassionate, grounded, and fully invested in helping you heal and grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with women across many phases of life—from the chaos of new motherhood to the quiet transitions of an empty nest. Many of my clients are juggling careers, caregiving, relationships, and the mental load of “keeping it all together.” On the outside, they may seem fine, but inside they often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Some are new moms adjusting to identity shifts and postpartum changes; others are managing burnout as they balance work and family. I also support women moving through grief—whether that’s the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or the deep pain of losing a pet. Many are coping with chronic illness or pain, frustrated by feeling unseen or dismissed. If you’ve been the one holding everything together for everyone else but feel like you’re losing touch with yourself, you’re not alone. Therapy is your space to feel supported, understood, and safe to be exactly where you are.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach that combines Humanistic, CBT, and other therapies. This method allows me to tailor treatments to each client's unique needs, ensuring a flexible and personalized path to healing. I focus on creating a supportive environment where clients feel seen and understood, helping them build resilience and achieve their mental health goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize and challenge negative thought patterns while developing practical coping strategies. Through this approach, we work together to identify the thoughts that impact emotions and behaviors, creating space for more positive, adaptive responses. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, or life challenges, I help clients build resilience by fostering healthier thinking and equipping them with tools to manage stress and emotional difficulties.
