Counseling has significant costs in time and money. I think the benefits far outweigh the costs but if I can give you the benefits while helping you save on the costs then I want to do that.

Ron Gay is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about helping his clients overcome struggles that are hindering them from being the best version of themselves. He is a proud Alumnus of North Carolina Central University where he received his Bachelor's degree and Nova Southeastern where he received his Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling.

My journey to you may be a little different than some other therapist. Over the years my professional experiences include a lengthy career in sales; working in the Long-Term Care Industry as an Admissions and Marketing Director as well as a Director of Social Services; community involvement as a HIV/AIDS Intervention Specialist; and the privilege of serving 10 years as a Licensed Pastor. I became a husband, a father, and now a grandfather. I’ve experienced the multiple joys and victories of life; as well as learning how to recover from self-inflicted defeats, and the consequences of choices we cannot change. So, I come to you not only as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, but as someone who brings the experience of reality to each of your therapy sessions.

I am a believer that compassion is a necessary ingredient for growth. I believe in utilizing the Mind-Body connection to help my clients grow and heal. I believe in thinking outside of the box. I offer traditional talk therapy, EMDR, Direct neurofeedback, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) somatic work, Mindful Self-compassion techniques, Relaxation Techniques, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT tapping), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills. I have experience with trauma, mood issues, life changes, and substance use disorders.
