Hello and welcome! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with over 14 years of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and emotional stressors. I’m passionate about supporting people as they grow, heal, and reconnect with their strengths. My approach is warm, collaborative, and empowering—I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore what’s holding you back, gain clarity around your goals, and take meaningful steps toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. In our work, we’ll focus on breaking unhelpful thought patterns, building emotional resilience, and developing practical, real-world tools you can use right away. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood challenges, ADHD, and stress related to relationships, work, and major life changes. Choosing to start therapy is a powerful act of self-awareness and courage. I’m here to walk alongside you—offering support, insight, and encouragement while celebrating every step forward on your journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session is all about getting to know you and making sure you feel comfortable. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—this is simply a starting point. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, challenges, and strengths, but the conversation will move at a pace that feels right for you. You can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you’re free to be yourself. We’ll begin identifying your goals and discussing how therapy can support them. I may also share initial insights or tools to help you start feeling grounded and empowered right away. Most importantly, this session is a chance for you to see if we’re a good fit. Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and supported—and my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, hopeful, and confident about the next steps.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What truly sets my therapeutic approach apart is the balance between compassion and practical change. I don’t believe therapy should feel overwhelming or abstract—I focus on helping clients gain insight and walk away with tools they can actually use in their everyday lives. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual. I take time to understand your experiences, values, and goals, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we work to uncover unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional resilience, and develop strategies that support long-term growth—not just short-term relief. Clients often share that they appreciate my ability to create a space that feels both safe and motivating. I offer honest feedback, gentle accountability, and encouragement, helping clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes at their own pace. Many notice improvements in self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and overall life balance. Above all, I’m deeply invested in your progress. I celebrate wins—big and small—and remain committed to helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to support individuals who are ready to grow and unsure if they are ready to grow, explore, and take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more balanced life. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, mood changes, or difficulties with focus and behavior—whether in school, work, or relationships. I work well with children, teens, and adults who are open to learning more about themselves and are seeking practical tools to manage emotions, improve relationships, and build confidence. Whether you're navigating a life transition, setting boundaries, working through past experiences, or simply trying to feel more in control, I’m here to help you gain clarity and move forward with intention. My approach is especially effective for those who value encouragement, structure, and honest, supportive guidance in reaching their personal goals.

I always leave my session with Dr. Nichols feeling empowered like I’m ready to put to work the practices that she’s given me or if it’s been like a thought-provoking conversation it’s always been very enlightening and causes me to look and delve deeper into the topic that we were speaking on. My sessions with her always leave me excited and ready to take on the day.
