New to Grow
Life can be challenging! Whether you are struggling with stress and worry, trying to break free from toxic relationships or habits, or just looking to nurture and care for yourself, let’s take on this journey together! I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working in various settings with various populations, including those struggling with severe and persistent mental health issues. My vast experience has created a solid foundation in helping individuals with the unique struggles they may face. I utilize a strength based approach while integrating various modalities to individualize care as not one story is the same. My extensive experience working with interdisciplinary teams has also expanded my knowledge and familiarity with various resources and interventions that can also support the therapeutic process. By utilizing a warm and compassionate yet direct approach, my hope is to empower and guide you in finding the key to unlock the passage to freedom within your own mind. I am confident that with the power of our therapeutic relationship, trust, and vulnerability, we can get there together.
In the first session, we will focus on getting to know one another and developing a clear understanding of your presenting concerns. We will take a collaborative approach, creating a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences, strengths, and goals for treatment. Together, we will begin to identify patterns and develop a shared direction for how we can effectively navigate the challenges you are facing.
My passion for helping others began early, leading me to pursue psychology from high school through my formal education and into my career. I entered the mental health field with my bachelor’s degree, working with children and families while continuing to pursue my master’s in mental health counseling. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of populations, age groups, and diagnoses, which has allowed me to develop a well-rounded and adaptable clinical perspective. Clients often share that they feel genuinely understood—both seen and heard—in our work together. I bring a depth of clinical knowledge that helps me recognize patterns, conceptualize concerns, and offer insights that can sometimes help clients view their experiences from a new or different angle. My goal is not to label, but to provide clarity and understanding in a way that feels meaningful, validating, and supportive of each client’s growth.
**The clients I’m best positioned to serve** I have extensive experience working with individuals facing severe mental health challenges, including mood and thought disorders. I also support families and loved ones navigating the stressors of caregiving. My work extends to individuals managing life transitions, relationship concerns, and stress related to work or other environments. I am able to support clients at different stages of readiness, while helping foster motivation, insight, and skills to maintain long-term mental wellness.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a structured, evidence-based approach to help individuals understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. A core component of this work involves identifying and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to the actions we take. We will focus on increasing awareness of automatic thoughts, addressing cognitive distortions, and guiding clients in reframing these patterns into more balanced and adaptive perspectives. This approach promotes insight, skill development, and empowerment, supporting clients in making meaningful and sustainable changes.
Strength-Based
I also utilize a strength-based approach by working collaboratively to identify and build upon the client’s existing abilities, resilience, and internal resources. Rather than focusing solely on deficits, we will emphasize what is working well and reinforce past successes to support growth and confidence. Together, we will apply these strengths to current challenges, fostering greater self-efficacy, empowerment, and sustainable progress.
