Hello I’m LaKeina but you can call me Keina Have you ever felt like you were drowning due to all of your responsibilities? But you have to get things done because there is no one to do what needs to be done but you. Maybe you are struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, processing trauma and or adverse emotions. If so there is hope, you are not alone as I will support you and assist you with developing appropriate coping skills. Sometimes our circumstances and mental state can detour us from being our best selves. However, we are all human and can all use help and support that is consistent. Many suffer in depression, anxiety and with processing trauma. There is a way to actively manage these conditions and relieve yourself from the guilt and shame that your emotions or your diagnosis may have produced over time. It will be my pleasure to support you with identifying the source of your adverse emotions, identifying the root and then from there assist you with properly processing. Therapy with me is not a dictatorship you will take the lead as no one knows you better than you know yourself. My role is to support you, encourage you and cheer you on as you go from struggling to actively managing!

Hi, I’m Rachel! Do you ever wonder why your kids struggle so much in school, have a hard time making/keeping friends, or have a difficult time following the same daily routines that are expected of them every day? Have you received multiple evaluations of them, but still feel lost in how to parent them? I get it. I’m not only an Autism and ADHD Specialist for both kids and adults ages 5-65yo, but I’m also a mom of neurodivergent kiddos. I work with children/teens/adults with varying presentations, who almost always have some level of anxiety, depression, trauma etc. I’m here to help support you and focus on what matters most. I also work with children and teens who do not have neurodivergent brains, but rather may have behavioral difficulties at home/school; issues with school refusal, significant degrees of anxiety and/or depression, overuse of social media and struggle in their parent/child relationships. I provide both individual and family therapy and believe that rapport with my clients and understanding their personal goals is what will make the most progress. I also specialize in life transitions, assisting teens in moving toward independence and the next steps in young adulthood. This includes career counseling, which I provide to adults of all ages.

I believe that therapy can heal, but I also know that telling a stranger about your deepest pain can be a strange feeling. Perhaps you've been feeling sad, depressed or worried, and hopeless that anything in your life can change. Or maybe you aren't sure what you would even want help with. You know you feel bad, but if someone were to ask you "How can I help?", you aren't sure what you would say. These problems can feel permanent and unsolvable. After all, something feels broken and unfixable, so how could you not feel that it takes all the energy you have just to get up in the morning and go about your day? Depression or anxiety can also feel isolating, as if nobody else could possibly understand. You may have even received advice from people who you feel mean well but can't understand what you're going through. Depression and anxiety are not permanent or unfixable, and therapy can help. Imagine feeling peace of mind, and excited about life and its possibilities. It starts by learning about you and going at your pace. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 16 years experience working with adults and teens, I've seen therapy work, and I feel lucky that I get to be part of that journey for others.

Asking for help is one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself. Life can be stressful, and you can feel pulled in many different directions. Being an African American man growing up in Los Angeles, I have faced my share of challenges and obstacles and when stress sets in, I understand that even the smallest pebble can feel like a major Boulder. I come from a traditional family where men and oftentimes women are discouraged from seeking help to deal with life's struggles and stresses. I aim to fill that void and change that narrative. I empower Men, Women and Families to seek to understand their struggles, anxieties and life challenges and to overcome them.

The desire to change, (whether it is feeling stuck, relationship issues, life transitions, unexpected circumstances, old habits, or patterns of behaviors), occurs when the pain to remain the same is greater than the discomfort associated with the uncertainty of change. Here you will find a warm, welcoming, collaborative, safe space to embrace the courage to change, heal and become the best version of yourself.

Inquiry, or the practice of looking at our lives clearly and with integrity, is the way we learn and grow - and the same is true in therapy. The fertile ground for this can be found in the process of radical acceptance. If we are not aware and able to see and accept what is going on inside of us and outside of us, the power and integrity of inquiry is dampened. Through mindfulness and with compassion, we develop an ability to accept what is without judgment, and by doing so become more relaxed and are able to move forward in our lives with greater vision that and purpose. We cannot find our truth or our power if we are consciously or unconsciously pushing away our thoughts and feelings. In the short term that may feel better, but it ultimately supports a false sense of self and impedes the unfolding or our truer self.

Hello and welcome! I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I have five years of clinical experience in various mental health settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I am here to support, guide and provide you with the tools necessary to overcome stresses and obstacles encountered in life. I am also here to celebrate life achievements and milestones. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment that encourages change and growth. I will work with you to awaken and recognize the strengths you possess by unlearning negative thought patterns. I will help you to know that you have a voice that matters and you do not need to suffer in silence. If you feel anxious, sad, or irritable, I will help you find skills to regulate your nervous system. If you’ve experienced trauma, I will help you process or re-process your trauma. A few things about me: I am a first generation Mexican American. I am a lover of nature. I am a mother and dog mom. I am a law enforcement and combat veteran spouse. I too have experienced obstacles, grief, and stresses in my life. I too understand that change, making time for a therapy session, incorporating daily coping skills and self care can be challenging, however, necessary. Congratulations on taking the first step. You have the ability to heal. I will begin accepting clients 5/1/2024.
