Hi! I am glad you are here and know the first step is the most important. I look forward to meeting you and starting this journey with you. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), skilled in assessing the needs of my clients and using different approaches based on each individual. I have experience working in schools, private practice, trauma centers, and community-based outpatients. I received a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies (education) and a minor in peacemaking and conflict, as well as a Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from National University in San Diego.--
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I will join our session with deep sensitivity and empathy. Over my years of practice, I have come to understand that therapy is a sacred process that you, as the client, will engage in and that you bring a unique set of experiences, strengths, and that your personal story holds great wisdom and the key to your healing. Therefore, it is my goal to create that sacred space for the many dimensions of you to emerge and be seen, valued, and validated. During our time together, you will have access to the truth of your story and find gratitude in the obstacles you’re facing to overcome the emotions, behaviors, and cognitions that are causing you distress.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Bringing deep awareness, compassion and commitment to those with whom I work, my approach to therapy is creative, accepting, and collaborative. I draw on ancient wisdom and modern practices to bring lasting transformation to people’s lives. Your sessions with me will holistically explore all of the levels of Self while gaining new skills to cope with what you need to address.
