Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During your first session, we will focus on getting to know you, your concerns, and your goals for therapy. You can expect a safe, supportive, and confidential environment where you are encouraged to share your experiences at your own pace. We will discuss your history, current challenges, and any patterns you’ve noticed, and together we will begin to develop a personalized treatment plan to guide your journey toward growth, healing, and positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my primary goals as a therapist is to provide guidance, support, and evidence-based interventions to help you address the challenges you are facing and achieve meaningful personal growth. I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical strategies for regulating emotions, improving coping skills, and managing symptoms that may impact mood, daily functioning, and overall well-being. In addition, I provide a safe and supportive space to process and heal from past trauma, difficult life experiences, and relational stressors. Through our work together, we will explore your internal strengths, resilience, and resources, fostering self-awareness and empowering you to make informed choices that lead to long-lasting positive changes. By combining clinical expertise with a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach, I aim to help you build the skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges and create a more fulfilling and balanced life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My clinical expertise includes working with adults presenting with a broad range of psychological and relational concerns, such as relationship difficulties, family conflict, and parenting-related challenges. Additionally, I work with individuals coping with grief and trauma, and I specialize in addressing parenting challenges through evidence-based, developmentally informed interventions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary therapeutic approach, drawing on over 16 years of clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan. CBT is an evidence-based modality that focuses on identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that contribute to psychological distress. In my work, I collaborate with clients to increase awareness of cognitive distortions, develop healthier coping strategies, and strengthen problem-solving skills. This structured and goal-oriented approach supports clients in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma while promoting emotional regulation, resilience, and long-term behavioral change. Interventions are tailored to each client’s unique needs, cultural background, and personal goals to ensure effective and meaningful outcomes.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) as part of my clinical approach, drawing on over 16 years of experience working with individuals and families. This strengths-based, goal-oriented model emphasizes clients’ existing resources, resilience, and past successes rather than focusing solely on problems. Through collaborative conversations, I assist clients in clarifying their goals, identifying what is already working, and developing practical, achievable steps toward positive change. Solution-Focused interventions support clients in building confidence, enhancing motivation, and creating meaningful progress in a relatively brief and efficient manner. This approach is tailored to each client’s unique needs, cultural context, and personal values, promoting empowerment and sustainable outcomes.
