During our first session we will talk about what is bringing you to treatment and how I can help. We will work together to create a plan for how to address your concerns and I will answer any questions you have. You are always in control of your treatment and I will do everything I can to make you feel supported and understood.

I specialize in trauma treatment for women. I use an comprehensive approach to help my clients make sense of and heal from painful and traumatic experiences. I specialize in treating people who have experienced domestic violence and sexual trauma. I love working with people who are experiencing stress with big life transitions and dealing with concerns including parenting, relationship difficulties and career stress.

In our initial meeting Chelsea informed me that she is direct and solution oriented and almost warned me about it- but this is what I need in a therapist, someone who sees my areas for growth and pushes me towards them. She is warm and comforting but will also direct you towards your best self always.

Chelsea provides a safe and nurturing space for her clients to grow in their goals. She is able to establish a warm connection quickly and helps clarify confusing or emotionally difficult experiences. Chelsea has been nothing but supportive and open-minded while I talk about my past trauma. She has been able to help me empower myself to open up emotionally, mentally and psychologically. I would recommend her to anyone who may be wary of therapy or has had a bad therapy experience in the past.

EMDR

I am an EMDRIA trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist with experience treating trauma in teens and adults. I use EMDR as part of a comprehensive approach to trauma treatment that allows my clients to integrate and process painful and traumatic experiences to find peace and healing. I create compassionate and responsive environment that respects where my clients are and lets them lead the way in their healing journey.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a trauma treatment that allows for my clients to make sense of what has happened to them. We focus on understanding emotions, use of healthy coping skills and creating a story that helps make sense of what happened and allows for healing.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a part of an electic and comprehensive approach to therapy. CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors with the understanding that our thoughts influence our feelings and actions. I will help you challenge your unhelpful beliefs and create options for healthier choices which will reduce your stress and lead to a healthier, happier life.
