What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will get to know each other - in terms of therapeutic style. I will also go over forms, policies, and gather information for intake in order to serve you better.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Honesty, humor, and empathy. Open communication is very important. I make that a priority in our sessions. It also helps me ensure we are on the same page.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Utilizing client's strengths to learn and practice new coping skills. Reviewing past successes to identify strengths to create new/healthy changes.

Attachment-based

Assisting clients to learn their attachment styles in order to understand their needs and coping. Teaching clients to recognize how they express during times of stress and how to communicate with others to help others understand their thoughts and feelings. This will help foster effective communication and meaningful relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

One of the most common evidence-based techniques - simple to use and can practice this technique anywhere! Educating that emotions, thoughts, and feelings are interconnected. One can reframe their thoughts to generate different feelings that are more manageable.

Interpersonal

This emphasizes the importance of everyday relationships. The idea that improving relationships will help eliminate mental health symptoms and concerns. Utilizing support systems to effectively make changes in life.

Couples Counseling

Identifying issues, unlearning and relearning healthy habits, strengthening communication skills, understanding attachment styles, working together as a team, overcoming hardships, accomplishing relationship goals, and building meaningful relationship.
