Welcome, I'm Michelle Ulloa. Life can sometimes feel heavy, leaving us disconnected from ourselves, our relationships, and the joy we once felt. If you’re noticing that spark fading, I want you to know you don’t have to go through this alone. In therapy, my goal is to walk alongside you as we explore the challenges holding you back and uncover the strengths within you. Together, we’ll discover what’s not working in your life and build on what does, so you can move toward greater balance, clarity, and fulfillment.
The first session is very informational ( I will lead the first part of session and you will take over the last past) so, I can best understand the situation and we can also learn about each other to see if we are the right match.
I have experience collaborating with adults, teens, children and their families in a wide range of situations/disorders to name a few (bullying, behavioral problems, families in different life transitions, grief & loss, parenting skills, ADHD, adjustment disorder, anxiety, trauma and depression). Previously, I’ve worked in the client's home with their family/caregivers enhancing their development potential due to their disabilities and provided parenting skills/support. I’ve also worked at a domestic violence shelter with women and their children in crisis. Tele-health working through global disaster due to transitions/adjustments/lost.
I combine compassionate conversations with practical, interactive tools—always with empathy and respect at the core. I’ll meet you where you are, and at the right time, encourage/challenge you to step further into your growth. This is your space to be heard, supported, and empowered. Change isn’t always easy, but with the right support, it is possible. I’d be honored to help you on your journey toward healing, resilience, and a more meaningful connection with yourself and others.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
The fundamental of being able to help someone is being able to see the person and understand the situation.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
It's all about keeping what work and try something different for what is not working.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The mind (thoughts), feelings and behaviors are all interconnected and it's about making sure all three aspects are working together to alleviate the disstress.

Michelle is an excellent therapist. She is reliable and communicative and does a great job hearing both what I say and attending to what is between the words. She helped me through a tough time, and now I feel much better about handling things on my own. If I find myself needing support again, I would definitely reach back out to her. I think of therapy as physical therapy and a way to heal emotional injuries and rehabilitate and build emotional strength after emotional/psychological injury.

I really like working with Michelle! She celebrates my wins with me and mourns my losses with me. I feel seen and heard. She also gives me very concrete things to do when I don't know what to do. She asks good questions when I'm trying to explore something or am confused by something. It feels very collaborative.

She seemed to understand what I wanted to say and helped me piece it together when I couldn’t find the right words. I also like that she wants to set goals so quickly. I feel like she knows I want to fix things and she wants to give me tools to do that.
