Hello, and I am honored to provide the best care possible to you. I bring to you decades of medical and nursing care and knowledge. I started my healthcare career in highschool and haven't looked back. I believe my passion for helping people started at a very young age; however, it was my duty to cultivate my calling. I have been a nurse since 1998. I started as a nursing assistant and steadily progressed my titles to that of an LPN, RN, and ultimately, a nurse practitioner since 2015. I have experience in many areas of nursing; however, my passion has always been the elderly as they have so much to offer in the ways of knowledge, experience, and life. Ultimately, I settled into psychiatry/mental health; however, the strange thing is, I didn't choose psychiatry, psychiatry chose me. I know, as a minority in this society, how it feels to be judged without people knowing the real you. I believe that is what will help me connect with you. No judgment; however, we will have open and honest conversations for your betterment. I will allow you to be yourself. I will not sugarcoat any information as that does nothing to help you or myself. As much as you feel you learn from me, I will learn from you also. Let us grow together!!!
You can and will be able to say "Mr. Brooks is open and honest and will forever be as such." As much as you may not want to hear the truth about yourself, it will ultimately assist in the evolution of YOU. If you don't or can't realize the problem, how can you fix it?
In addition to medication management, I will utilize basic psychotherapeutic measures to elicit not only change but evolution in my patients.
I believe my biggest strength is empathy. Because of me being a minority, I know how it feels to be erroneously judged and persecuted. This is and always will be a judgment-free zone. We will hold fast to the truth and construct you new foundation on that to elicit evolution and to improve your quality of life.
