Hi, I'm Sami. I am a licensed Marriage Family Therapist practicing in Georgia. I have been practicing therapy since 2019, and I enjoy working with a wide variety of people. My goal is to reflect you back to you. I wish to help you remember your strengths, and to explore solutions together so that you can begin to experience positive change quickly, and to remind you of things that you may have forgotten - tapping into your own wisdom. "We’re all just walking each other home." - Ram Dass
During our first meeting, we will review your intake assessments, confidentiality, mandated reporting, and address any questions that you may have. The initial session is a good time to get a feel for clinical fit between client and therapist and discuss what brings you to therapy to begin with.
I have been working in dual diagnosis care for the past 7 years, which has equipped me with practicing a wide array of therapy modalities with individuals from all walks of life. I can support you as we discuss navigating life's challenges and create a well-rounded plan for you to experience positive life changes. I will also coordinate with you on how you would like to navigate your sessions together. Perhaps you may want to vent, reflect on what you're thinking/feeling, dig deep or just unwind with a helpful conversation. I am here to support you no matter how you show up.
I have found that I do my best work and feel most poised to assist individual adults as they navigate changes in their life. Whether it be job changes, dealing with loss and grief, parenting, new diagnoses, identity or life cycle changes, etc. I like working with individuals from a values-based perspective, as well as focusing on mindfulness, nervous system regulation, building and expanding support systems, as well as building a coping skill toolbox.

Healing attachment is rewarding work that can be done in real-time in a trusted therapeutic alliance. Looking for & expanding cues of safety, retraining the brain and body to feel safe, and understanding how adverse life experiences interrupted that process in the past are helpful practices in this powerful therapy focus.
I naturally have a warm, approachable and non-judgmental stance personally and therapeutically. One of my major goals as a therapist is to help you feel safe and supported to do the deeper work, and foster patience, care and self-compassion as you confront challenges that brought you to seek guidance in therapy.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients connect with their values, make room for difficult emotions, and take practical steps toward a more meaningful life. Together, we’ll focus on living fully and authentically—even in the face of challenges.
I like to keep an open mind and be curious and explorative as we brain-storm and find solutions to problems together. I will combine different practices and modalities of therapy that best fit you and what you bring to therapy so you can get a well-rounded and multi-faceted approach in our work together.
Let's collaborate to move you forward with renewed hope and motivation for your goals, even if you're unsure of what your goals are at this time. You may just need to have some solid discussions around how to get unstuck and to be reminded of your own strengths and resiliency to be able to do so.
