"Healing is a journey that requires a supportive and empowering foundation. As an LCSW licensed in Georgia, Maine, and Nebraska, I specialize in providing culturally responsive teletherapy for adults aged 21 and older. With a Master’s degree from Clark Atlanta University, my practice is rooted in accessibility and inclusivity. Together, we will work at a pace that feels safe for you, reconnecting you with your strengths and creating actionable steps toward a more fulfilling, authentic life."
In our first session, we’ll begin with quick introductions to get comfortable with one another. While I want to share a bit about my approach, the primary focus will be on you. We will spend time exploring the specific challenges you’re currently facing and the goals you hope to achieve. This initial conversation is essential, as it helps me develop a personalized care plan tailored specifically to your needs, ensuring our future sessions are both intentional and effective.
One of my greatest strengths as a clinician is my clinical adaptability. While many practitioners adhere to a single school of thought, I recognize that therapy is never a "one-size-fits-all" endeavor. I have worked with a diverse range of adult clients across various stages of maturity from young adults finding their independence to seniors navigating legacy and late-life transitions. This breadth of experience has taught me that the most effective healing happens when the treatment is as unique as the individual seeking it.
"I am here to support adults who feel weighed down by the heavy fog of depression or the persistent, restless 'what-ifs' of anxiety. If you feel like you’ve lost your spark or are trapped in cycles of worry, I want you to know that you don't have to carry that alone. Using a gentle, evidence-based CBT approach, we will work side-by-side to quiet your inner critic and rediscover your strengths. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard as we build the practical tools and confidence you need to start feeling like yourself again."
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past five years, helping dozens of clients challenge recurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. Together, we’ll use CBT to understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect one another. With that insight, we’ll work on shifting your thinking patterns so you can live a calmer, less anxious, and more stress-free life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
For the past five years, I’ve worked with people of all ages using ACT, particularly those dealing with grief and loss. In my experience, this approach is highly effective, helping clients navigate their grief by mindfully accepting it rather than pushing it away.
