Greetings! I am Vanessa Johnson and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia since 2007. I have a BA in psychology from Clark Atlanta University (c/o 2002) and a MS in professional counseling from Georgia State University (c/o 2004). I have worked in a variety of therapeutic environments with children, adolescents, families, and adults.
What can you expect? A friendly and relaxed environment where you can open up and be yourself. Let's work together to transform into the best version of you.
My greatest strengths as a provider are that I am open-minded, relaxed, and a team player. Let me be your professional friend.
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients including young children working on social and communication skills, adolescents dealing with mood or behavioral issues, young adults navigating the world of work and adulthood, parenting, and relationship issues to name a few.

I felt heard and I also felt accountable.

While talking with Ms.Vanessa I learned some everyday tasks that will eliminate my stress level or when things get overwhelmed. In so many words what I took away was “I am enough” keep striving never give up and take a moment to breath and live with purpose. My life is beautiful it might be some hiccups along the way it can be manageable if I continue to take one day at a time I will succeed through anything. Staying positive is better than anything.

Today was my first counseling session ever. I am starting therapy just for coping skills but not because of any trauma or psychological behaviors. Vanessa was open, honest and non-judgemental and I look forward to any follow up appointments.
