LPC, 22 years of experience
Hello, I'm Liz, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. My journey in mental health therapy has been deeply rooted in a trauma-informed approach, and I have dedicated much of my career to helping individuals understand personality disorders—their own and those of family members. I have a strong connection with the LGBTQIA+ community and extensive experience working with children through music, art, and theater. My practice also includes working with families, couples, and individuals, addressing a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, body dysmorphic disorder, and struggles related to transitioning or alternative life styles. Additionally, I have supported many clients who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I use EMDR as part of my trauma treatment. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I reject stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive therapy, tailoring our dialogue to meet your unique and specific needs. For those clients who feel “stuck” in time from trauma I also use EMDR for complex trauma. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you! -Liz Lizotte
For our first session it is important for me to ask some questions and for you to find out your comfort level with me. As a new client, express who you are and who you are hoping to become in the future.
I work closely with every client, helping them find their inner strength, beauty and above all worth.
I look forward to working for any client who wants to find and build their own identity. I enjoy learning about new people and watching growth from inside.
Working with each individual, as an individual, changing views on life events.
Using our positive thoughts if today, the past can be explored in a safe way.
