LICSW, 10 years of experience
New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with 10 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I use an eclectic, collaborative approach drawing from Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, strengths-based approaches, positive psychology, and psychoeducation. I specialize in working with clients—particularly young adults—managing ADHD, anger, BPD traits, depression, anxiety, codependency, and OCD. My style is conversational, flexible, and solution-oriented, blending honesty, humor and colorful language.
The first session is all about getting to know each other and seeing if we’re a good fit to work together. Research shows that having a positive relationship with your therapist is one of the most important factors in making progress. I tend to ask a lot of questions and gather information because the more I know, the better I can help and provide the most useful, applicable solutions. To me, every piece—your family, genetics, and life experiences—helps complete the puzzle of who you are.
My style is interactive, conversational, and solution-oriented. I aim to get to the root of issues while incorporating creative problem-solving, colorful language, and genuine dialogue. I’m honest, bring a sense of humor, and am not easily offended—I enjoy brainstorming with clients and seeing challenges as opportunities rather than burdens. Sessions flow naturally, and I often have an idea of what we’ll work on while remaining flexible to each client’s needs.
My ideal client is someone who appreciates a laid-back, humorous approach to conversations that feel natural, and are organic. I value those who are open to honest feedback, seeing things in a different perspective and applying what we have talked about in our sessions to your day-to-day life.
Psychoeducation means I help you learn about how your mind and emotions work, and give you information and tools to handle stress, mood, and daily challenges better.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) means we work together to notice unhelpful thoughts and habits, and learn new ways of thinking and coping that help you feel and function better.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) means I help you learn skills to manage overwhelming emotions, improve relationships, handle stress in healthy ways, and stay present in the moment.
Positive psychology means we focus on your strengths, values, and what makes life meaningful, to help you build more happiness, resilience, and overall well-being.
