Hi! I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker based in Massachusetts. I received my Masters from the Simmons School of Social Work and have been practicing for 20 years. I help young, middle-aged, and older adults struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma become the best versions of themselves. I have worked in a small. neighborhood mental health clinic that mainly served children and families with trauma. I have also worked as a behavioral health specialist for a primary care group. In my private practice, I saw teens and adults who were looking to adjust to life changes, develop ways to cope with divorce, and work and academic issues.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session we talk about expectations and review any past experiences in therapy. We will get a good sense of what brought you to therapy and how I can best serve you in making the experience transformative and worthwhile. We can begin to tease out symptoms and some history as well.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have an ease about me and generally make people feel comfortable and heard. I am knowledgeable and experienced so bring all of that to access as I develop a plan for you. I have worked in numerous settings and am also very knowledgeable about the healthcare system.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with motivated individuals who have goals or changes in mind for themselves. I enjoy meeting client's where they are at emotionally and working to build an alliance together where they feel comfortable and supported.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

Using a psychodynamic approach. I assess and treat all areas of a client's life that are of concern. This included emotional, behavioral, physical, and spiritual. Together we identify goals and i will add in other methods dependent on the client's presenting needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using CBT, the client is able to identify and address areas of concern and the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that accompany them. By gaining a better understanding of how feelings and behaviors influence each other it is possible to make changes over time and this method has very good outcomes.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using DBT allows for me to assist client's in developing skills needed to self sooth and self-actualize in a healthy way. This incorporates mindfulness and other skill building techniques.
