Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Master of Social Work in New York City. I received my Masters of Social Work from the New York University-Washington Square Campus and provided behavioral health services for 10 years +. I help individuals, groups and families who are struggling with life transitions and/or have difficulty processing unresolved trauma from child or adulthood that is impacting their ability to be the best version of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, have a deep and detailed discuss of "your" experiences about your chief complaint(s) or concerns, then dive into where you feel stuck the most, leading into solutions and further exploration on how to progress going forward. This will help me create a clear understanding of where you are in your current circumstance and create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with a diverse population, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, different living environments have leads me to develop a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Narrative

Narrative therapy is a form of therapy that aims to separate the individual from the problem, allowing the individual to externalize their issues rather than internalize them. It relies on the individual's own skills and sense of purpose to guide them through difficult times (Narrative Therapy, 2017).

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT therapy) is a type of mindful psychotherapy that helps you stay focused on the present moment and accept thoughts and feelings without judgment. It aims to help you move forward through difficult emotions so you can put your energy into healing instead of dwelling on the negative.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy) used with psychotherapist in a structured way, attending a limited number of sessions. CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. CBT can be a very helpful tool — either alone or in combination with other therapies — in treating mental health disorders, such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or an eating disorder. But not everyone who benefits from CBT has a mental health condition. CBT can be an effective tool to help anyone learn how to better manage stressful life situations.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their lives and their behaviors, as well as helping them learn to change their lives, including their unhelpful behaviors

Strength-Based

Solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) is a strength-based approach to psychotherapy that focuses on solution-building rather than problem-solving. Unlike other forms of psychotherapy that analyze present problems and past causes, SFBT concentrates on current circumstances and future hopes.
