New to Grow
I am a licensed social worker with 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most vulnerable and transformative seasons. I work with clients navigating life transitions, anxiety, fertility challenges, postpartum adjustments, and the emotional complexities that often accompany these experiences. I bring an authentic, compassionate, and grounded presence to my work, creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood. Through a collaborative and practical approach, I help clients build resilience, regain confidence, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we begin getting to know one another. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant history, while also making space for you to share at your own pace. We’ll talk about what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. I’ll also answer any questions you have about my approach so you feel comfortable and informed. Most importantly, the first session is about building connection and ensuring you feel heard, supported, and safe.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What makes my therapeutic approach unique is the combination of authenticity, compassion, and practical skill-building. I create a space where clients feel genuinely seen and understood, while also helping them develop concrete tools they can use in their everyday lives. With 20 years of experience as a social worker, I bring both depth and perspective to my work. I integrate evidence-based approaches with a strength-based lens, helping clients recognize their resilience while addressing anxiety, life transitions, fertility, and postpartum challenges. Clients often share that they not only gain insight in our work together, but also feel more confident, grounded, and empowered to navigate their lives outside of therapy.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are navigating life transitions, anxiety, fertility journeys, pregnancy and postpartum changes, and the emotional stress that often accompanies these experiences. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning individuals who may appear to be managing well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. I work especially well with clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to better understand their patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. If you’re looking for a supportive, authentic, and collaborative space where you can feel truly heard while also gaining practical tools for growth, we would likely be a good fit.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a therapist, my experience with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) has been incredibly rewarding. I’ve seen how its structured, goal-oriented approach helps clients clearly identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Guiding clients to challenge cognitive distortions and test new perspectives often leads to meaningful, measurable progress. I appreciate how practical and skills-based CBT is, empowering clients with tools they can continue using long after therapy ends.
Narrative
I support clients in exploring the stories they’ve internalized about their lives and identifying how those narratives may have been shaped by past experiences, relationships, or societal messages. Together, we work to re-author their stories by highlighting strengths, resilience, and alternative perspectives, empowering them to move forward with a greater sense of agency and clarity.
Strength-Based
As a therapist, I use a strength-based approach to help clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resilience. I focus on what is already working in their lives and explore how those abilities can support them through current challenges. This approach promotes empowerment and helps clients see themselves as capable and resourceful.
