New to Grow
I spent much of my professional career working with alcoholics, addicts and family members, in outpatient and residential programs. In addition, I was employed by an agency that provided home-based social work services to elderly clients who did not have the means to attend in person sessions. I maintain a strong foundation in the philosophies of various twelve-step programs and practice CBT principles. I believe clients should be supported in determining the path of their recovery in therapy with an experienced "leader."
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session I will introduce myself and my experience as a therapist. I hope that a new client can discuss what brought them to a place of wanting to change, a general idea of their goals and dreams. I see myself as a guide and try to help clients reach their full potential

My strengths are a combination of my personal achievements, the history of my own life and experiences, combined with my education and prior employment experience. I have been described by my clients as compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I look forward to working with clients who are self motivated and have started the journey at changing their path and their lives. It is the role of a therapist to guide, and help others reach their goals. I look forward to helping people create a new path and achieve success
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have found CBT to be a collaborative process that allows a client to identify the life patterns and behaviors that have hindered their growth. CBT has been shown to be successful for clients to develop new skills and develop healthier coping strategies
