About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) with advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT). I work with clients of all ages, including LGBTQ+ individuals, providing compassionate, evidence-based care for those navigating depression, anxiety, grief, and other life challenges. My approach is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful tool for growth and healing, and I place a strong emphasis on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I am particularly interested in helping clients explore how their experiences, patterns, and behaviors impact their daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies for change, empowering clients to feel more in control of their thoughts, emotions, and actions. I integrate multiple evidence-based modalities, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, MI, and Narrative Therapy, tailoring each approach to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. This is a space for you to share your experiences, challenges, and goals, while also asking any questions you might have about the process. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, patterns, and areas where you’d like to create change. Our goal is to leave the first session with a clear understanding of what’s important to you and a strong, attainable plan for moving forward. We’ll work collaboratively to identify concrete steps that feel realistic and empowering, so you can start making progress right away. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions, our focus will be on creating a path that helps you feel more in control, balanced, and aligned with your values. By the end of the session, you should feel understood, supported, and hopeful—knowing that the work we do together is structured, practical, and geared toward helping you move forward in life. Therapy is a process, but the first session is an important step toward building clarity, momentum, and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my sense of humor, which helps create a warm, approachable, and safe space in therapy. I also bring a strong sense of empathy, allowing me to deeply understand and connect with each client’s unique experiences. By tapping into both humor and empathy, I help clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to explore challenges, uncover their own strengths, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My dream client is someone who often feels anxious and carries high standards for themselves, striving to do everything “just right.” You might feel pulled in many directions, juggling responsibilities, expectations, and your own inner critic, and find it hard to create a sense of balance and harmony in your life. You are ready to explore what fuels your anxiety and overthinking, and you’re interested in learning practical strategies to manage stress in a way that feels doable and sustainable. You may notice patterns of self-criticism, overcommitting, or putting others’ needs ahead of your own, and you want support in cultivating a healthier relationship with yourself. You value growth, self-reflection, and insight, and you are open to engaging in therapy as a collaborative process—exploring how your past experiences, coping strategies, and current behaviors all impact your well-being.
