I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in a variety of clinical settings. I am a bilingual clinician, fluent in English and Spanish, and bring a culturally responsive, compassionate, and client-centered approach to my work. My clinical practice is grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and work collaboratively toward meaningful goals. I prioritize honoring each client’s pace, autonomy, and best interests while fostering emotional growth and resilience. I am trained in evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Informed Care. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, interpersonal challenges, and life transitions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We’ll take the time to gently explore what’s been weighing on you and what you hope your life can look like—whether that’s a month from now, six months, or further down the road. At your pace, we’ll talk through possibilities and supportive strategies that feel realistic and manageable for you. Each session is meant to leave you feeling more understood, a little lighter, and with a clearer sense of what might help, including small steps you can take right away if you choose. Our work together is a shared process, grounded in trust, openness, and compassion, with plenty of space for feedback, encouragement, and mutual accountability as we move forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a licensed clinical social worker in private practice, I strive to offer a therapeutic environment that feels respectful, steady, and supportive, particularly for clients who may feel vulnerable, overwhelmed, or under significant external pressure. My approach is compassionate and client‑centered, with attention to each person’s unique background, strengths, and needs. My approach is a good fit for people whose goals include reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, strengthening self‑understanding, and restoring a sense of control and safety in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are navigating high levels of stress, emotional overwhelm, depression, anxiety, or life transitions, and who are seeking a thoughtful, supportive space to better understand themselves and regain stability. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, emotionally exhausted, or unsure how to cope with ongoing pressures related to family, work, relationships, or legal and immigration‑related circumstances. I am especially well suited to support clients who value a grounded, compassionate, and culturally responsive approach to therapy. This includes individuals who may have experienced chronic stress, trauma, or uncertainty and want help processing their experiences while building emotional resilience and practical coping skills.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that focused on teaching mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to manage intense emotions and self-regulate. DBT emphasizes both acceptance and change within a structured, skills-oriented therapeutic framework.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, making it effective for anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, evidence-based approach that helps individuals strengthen their motivation for change. Through empathy, reflective listening, and respect for autonomy, MI supports clients in exploring ambivalence, identifying personal goals, and building confidence to make meaningful, self-directed changes.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is a depth-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on understanding how unconscious processes, early relational experiences, and internal conflicts influence current emotions, behaviors, and interpersonal patterns. Treatment emphasizes insight development, emotional awareness, and the exploration of recurring themes that contribute to psychological distress.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma‑informed care is a clinical approach that acknowledges the impact of trauma on psychological functioning and prioritizes safety, empowerment, and collaboration. Treatment is guided by an understanding of trauma’s effects while supporting stabilization, resilience, and recovery.
