Hello there! My name is Latoya.
Do you ever feel stuck? Have you ever felt bruised, broken, and felt like giving up? These feelings often tie back to some anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. If this is you then I am the right person to come and see. I am open to helping anyone, but see a lot of patients that have issues with the aforementioned three issues. I utilize a person- centered approach and use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution- focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I love watching client's achieve their goals for therapy, like helping people, and watching the relief it often brings them emotionally, mentally and physically- to be able to get some things off their chest that they may have been carrying for a number of years. I believe in caring, empathetic, and having being nonjudgmental of the client. I hope that knowing this comforts you and puts your mind at ease in starting your therapeutic journey.
I help people who feel stuck and overwhelmed find their way back to control. You might be dealing with marriage problems, work stress, or money worries that keep you up at night. I work with you to understand why you feel disconnected at home even when you're there. Together, we figure out how to stop running on empty and start feeling confident again.
I help you see the patterns that keep you feeling trapped. Then I teach you simple tools you can use right away to feel better.
I understand what it's like to feel competent but exhausted. I know the weight of being someone others rely on while also falling apart inside.
I help you gain clarity about what you want, not what you think you should want. You'll learn to manage the voice in your head that says you're not good enough.
I believe that counseling can be transformative at all ages and stages in life. Our constantly changing world presents new challenges every day. I would be honored to support you in your journey to find answers, meaning, and understanding in this confusing world.
As a counselor, I work from a person-centered approach to therapy, partnering with you to meet you where you are, leverage individual strengths and identify areas of growth and resilience. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. In our sessions. I aim to create a healthy rapport with clients, free of bias and judgment.
During this journey, I will encourage you to be open, honest and passionate in order to explore your true self. I welcome your experiences and the story your life has to tell. I look forward to working with you.

Hi, my name is Miguel. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, came of age in New York City, and served in the US Army for several years. I am a clinician and educator, and credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (Maryland), Licensed Professional Counselor (Virginia), and a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC). In addition, I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am finishing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
Namaste, my name is Ashwini Gupta and I am Therapist/Intuitive Life Coach specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Vedanta and Mindfulness-based practices. With 20 plus of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges, I am passionate about empowering my clients to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives truly being in touch with the essence of soul identity.
Using ACT as my primary therapeutic approach, I create a warm and non-judgmental space where we can work together to address difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. ACT combines mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change strategies to guide clients towards psychological flexibility, allowing them to better handle distress and align their actions with their deeply-held values.
What is ACT?
At its core, ACT is a behavioral therapy: it’s about taking action. But it’s not about just any old action. First, it’s about values-guided action. There’s a big existential component to this model:
**What do you want to stand for in life?
**What really matters, deep in your heart?
**What is the legacy do you want to create for yourself?
ACT gets you in touch with what matters in the big picture: your heart’s deepest desires for who you want to be and what you want to do during your brief time on this planet. You then use these core values to guide, motivate, and inspire behavioral change.
What is Vedanta?
Vedanta is one of the world's oldest philosophies which affirms the oneness of existence and the divinity of the soul. A close look at the word "Vedanta" is revealing: It is the combination of 2 words: "Veda" which means 'knowledge' and "anta" which means 'the goal of'. In this context, knowledge refers to understanding one's own divine nature- meaning and purpose in life.

I aim to create a therapeutic space that allows for genuine authenticity and healing by tailoring sessions to each client. With a background in clinical social work and a desire to see the building up of the body of Christ, I am passionate about supporting and encouraging my brothers and sisters as they seek to navigate the difficulties of life and develop resilience that can lead to personal healing and spiritual growth. My areas of expertise include managing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, faith formation, identity and purpose, peer relationships, transitional challenges, conflict resolution, forgiveness, etc.
I utilize a positive theoretical orientation which assumes that all individuals possess an innate desire for well-balanced emotional/mental health. I believe a person enters therapy with a strong wish, whether conscious or unconscious, to overcome obstacles and free themselves from constraints that are holding them back. I find that everyone needs a slightly different approach to accomplish these goals, so I adjust in technique for each specific challenge. I truly enjoy the experience of guiding my clients through this process and consider it a privilege to play such an important role in a person's life.
