Healing and growth are possible—even when they feel out of reach. Whether you’re longing for deeper connections, seeking relief from life’s burdens, or hoping to rediscover your sense of self, I’m here to help. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer a compassionate space where you’ll be truly heard, understood, and gently challenged. Together, we’ll move beyond surface-level solutions, working toward meaningful, lasting change. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling empowered with practical tools and a renewed sense of hope—because you deserve to thrive, not just get by.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first therapy session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where you can begin to share your story. We will start by discussing what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and your goals for our work together. This session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for the therapeutic process. I will explain how our sessions will typically unfold, and we will begin to establish a rapport and trust. Together, we will start to outline a plan tailored to your needs, setting the foundation for our journey toward healing and growth. This initial meeting is all about getting to know each other and creating a safe space for your therapeutic journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mental health therapist, I bring a comprehensive set of strengths to our sessions. With a foundation of empathy and active listening, I strive to deeply understand your experiences and emotions. My strong communication skills ensure clarity and openness in our dialogue, while my clinical knowledge allows me to offer effective therapeutic interventions tailored to your needs. I maintain healthy boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines, creating a safe and trusting environment. Equipped with problem-solving abilities, I approach challenges with creativity and insight. Cultural competence informs my practice, respecting and integrating diverse perspectives. Resilient and adaptable, I navigate difficult emotions and situations with grace. Above all, I am dedicated to empowering you, guiding you towards healing and personal growth throughout our therapeutic journey together.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am passionate about walking alongside individuals who are deeply committed to personal growth, open to self-reflection, and ready to engage fully in a therapeutic journey grounded in relentless empathy and authenticity. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where clients feel fully seen and supported while being gently encouraged to step beyond their comfort zones. Clients who are motivated by measurable progress and seek to complete therapy with a clear sense of accomplishment—having reached their goals and grown into a more fulfilled, authentic version of themselves—often find this approach to be an ideal fit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is like the wise old sage within the realm of counseling theories and its time-tested, evidence-based approach has been validated by research for decades. I weave this pragmatic approach of cognitive restructuring, self-reflection, reframing, and mindfulness into most of my sesssion. This old sage will be present on our journey of growth and will often be joined by other sages of the therapy world to include Emotion Focused Therapy, EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT or other relational approaches.

Attachment-based

In my therapy practice, I integrate Attachment-Based theories as a foundational approach to understanding and healing relational challenges. Drawing on the principles of attachment theory and Emotion Focused Therapy , I focus on exploring how early experiences shape current patterns of relating and emotional responses. By fostering a secure therapeutic alliance, I provide a safe environment where clients can explore their attachment histories and how these impact their present relationships. Through empathetic listening and reflective dialogue, I help clients recognize and modify ineffective attachment strategies, promoting healthier relational dynamics and emotional regulation. This approach supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, empathy, and resilience, ultimately facilitating deeper connections and personal growth in their lives.

EMDR

In therapy, I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a powerful tool to help clients process and heal from past traumatic experiences. EMDR involves a structured approach that integrates bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps, to facilitate the brain's natural healing process. Through EMDR, clients can safely reprocess distressing memories, reducing their emotional intensity and the negative beliefs associated with them. This method allows for a deeper understanding of how past experiences influence present emotions and behaviors, empowering clients to develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve greater emotional resilience. Together, we work collaboratively to harness EMDR's transformative potential, promoting healing and fostering a renewed sense of inner strength and peace.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT a powerful therapeutic approach I use to help both individuals and couples transform their emotional experiences and strengthen their relationships. Rooted in Attachment Theory, EFT focuses on identifying, understanding, and reshaping key emotional responses that drive interactions. For individuals, EFT helps uncover core emotional experiences, guiding them to recognize patterns in their relationships and create secure emotional connections with themselves and others. For couples, EFT helps partners create a cycle of positive emotional engagement, fostering trust and intimacy.

Christian Counseling

I approach sessions with a deep respect for each client's spiritual journey. I offer a compassionate space where individuals, couples, and families can explore their faith and its impact on their mental and emotional well-being. Drawing on both clinical expertise and spiritual insights, I collaborate with clients to address challenges through the lens of Christian principles such as love, truth, forgiveness, and grace. My therapeutic approach values the integration of faith with evidence-based practices, fostering healing and growth in alignment with clients' spiritual beliefs and personal goals.
