About me

We are all responsible for our own choices—and sometimes, for the choices of others. That responsibility can feel daunting, especially when change is already unfolding beneath the surface. I believe that asking for help is itself a courageous act of authenticity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor serving Virginia via telehealth, I support adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress. My approach blends Existential Therapy with CBT and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, grounded in trauma-informed care and psychoeducation. I help clients build emotionally safe, strengths-based strategies that honor their lived experience and support meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

After our initial consultation, we’ll clarify what frequency and timing work best for you. In our first full session, I’ll invite you to share how you’ve been feeling lately, and I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, concerns, and hopes. This session is about building a foundation of trust and connection. I listen first—without assumptions—so we can collaboratively explore what support looks like for you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply curious about therapy, our first meeting is a space to begin gently, at your pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I offer clients a calm, compassionate, and emotionally attuned space. My communication style is direct, humorous when helpful, and deeply respectful. I specialize in translating complex emotional and clinical concepts into accessible, strengths-based language. Clients often share that they feel heard, understood, and empowered to take action. I pride myself on nonjudgmental listening and creating systems that support sustainable growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who are open to exploring change—even when it feels messy or uncertain. My approach resonates with individuals navigating life transitions, trauma recovery, or chronic stress, especially those who benefit from structured, emotionally safe care. I support neurodivergent and trauma-sensitive clients in reframing self-care, building coping skills, and developing a more authentic relationship with themselves. Clients who engage in reflection and are willing to try new strategies often find that our work together helps them feel more grounded, capable, and connected.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, meaning I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. I primarily integrate Existential Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and trauma-informed practices to support clients navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and identity development. I also incorporate psychoeducation, mindfulness, and strengths-based strategies to help clients build practical coping tools and deepen self-understanding. This flexible approach allows sessions to flow like productive, emotionally attuned conversations—not clinical interrogations. I prioritize warmth, clarity, and responsiveness, adapting in real time to what each client needs. Whether we’re exploring patterns, building skills, or reframing challenges, my goal is to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and genuinely helpful.
