Hi, I'm Tara. I'd like to tell you a little about myself since I will be asking a lot about you! I come from a pretty dysfunctional family background with a lot of addiction and strife. So after I completed undergraduate school, I worked at a residential substance use disorder facility in Virginia, working with families of patient's there. I learned that folk with substance use issues also have depression, anxiety, bi polar disorder, and other mental health and social skill and communication problems. This prompted me to do something I said I would never do...... go back to school. I started Graduate school in 1992 and finished in 1994 and received my MA in Professional Counseling. I worked at a CSB and did my residency there. I started working for myself in February 2001. I work with 18 year old and up.
When I am not working, I volunteer with a cat rescue group and I take care of "bottle babies" in the spring and raise them until they are old enough to be adopted. I enjoy going to the movies, the theatre, musicals, reading mysteries, watching netflix and prime video and cooking. I love my 5 cats and one dog.
I am very Client Centered, meaning - I don't think the therapy can go very far if there isn't a therapeutic connection. I work with anxiety disorder, substance use disorders, depression, Bi Polar disorder, Parenting .
If you do not make yourself a priority, you cannot be the best friend, partner, wife, husband, employee, parent, friend, Truly, I am here to help you in whatever you are experiencing.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Virginia with a Master’s degree from Liberty University and three years of clinical experience. I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults as they navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, helping clients build resilience, gain clarity, and move toward becoming the healthiest, most authentic versions of themselves.
I have worked with clients in a variety of settings with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, relationship issues, phases of life issues, grief, and trauma. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I implement an integrative approach that utilizes a variety of techniques. I recognize that there is no "one size fits all" approach to one's mental health journey. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will encourage an open dialogue and transparency during sessions so we can work together to help you become the best version of yourself.
Warm Greetings! Taking the step to seek therapy is a brave and commendable decision, and I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey to healing and growth. Therapy, to me, is a safe space where you can release the weight of your burdens and cultivate the courage to embrace gradual changes, one step at a time. I embrace a holistic approach to counseling, incorporating evidence-based techniques to help clients uncover and address mental blocks that contribute to unhealthy thoughts, behaviors, and habits.
First of all, I love what I do and to witness the positive changes clients make in their lives as a result of choosing therapy to help them accomplish what they want. Often the goal is to achieve symptom relief so as to not be overwhelmed by anxiety, mood disorders or be better able to manage the challenges of ADHD. Sometimes there is not a specific outcome identified but a need for ongoing support for dealing with life transitions or difficult people. Sometimes clients use therapy as a confidential sounding board where they can talk to an objective outsider about situations and sort out their perspective. I offer various ways to see and respond to situations that might otherwise not be considered. Your opinion as a client is the most important one and I will also honestly provide mine when asked for. I believe therapy can actually be something that you can look forward to and an opportunity to learn new skills to use long after you discontinue, and we can even have some fun and laughs along the journey.

I am licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Utah, and Maine. My career has included extensive work with Veterans, Active Duty personnel, and federal employees, providing trauma informed care to those navigating the unique challenges of high stakes, high responsibility environments.
I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, those living with chronic illnesses, and trauma survivors as they navigate addiction, burnout, anxiety, women’s issues, and major life transitions. My approach is nonjudgmental and trauma informed, meeting clients where they are with curiosity and compassion while creating a space for authentic growth and understanding.
I practice a relational and integrative approach grounded in collaboration and clinical insight. I value appropriate self disclosure when it supports the therapeutic process and use my training and lived experience to help clients develop tools that genuinely serve them. My work draws from an eclectic foundation that includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Somatic approaches. I also integrate alternative and mind body methods that expand healing beyond traditional talk therapy, supporting both emotional and physiological well-being.
I practice from an intersectional perspective, recognizing that our identities—race, gender, sexuality, neurotype, ability, culture, and lived experience—intersect to shape how we move through the world and how the world responds to us. Healing requires honoring all of those parts.
I believe neurodivergence is not something to be fixed, but understood, supported, and celebrated. Therapy is a space to learn your brain, not fight against it, to understand how it works, identify what it needs, and build systems of support that honor your authentic wiring.

When they learn to embrace and unconditionally love for being themselves, they become stronger in the face of negativity and more able to hold onto positive thoughts when faced with challenges.
Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness.
People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it?
Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! Make your appointment today!
Hi there, my name is Kristina Mills-Gregory, and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in North Carolina, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, and Florida. I have been providing therapy for over 15 years. I have a Masters in Counseling from Campbell University, and a BA in Psychology and Communication Studies from University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Prior to becoming a therapist, I started my career as a school counselor in public schools. I have also worked in community mental health, providing a wide range of services.

I use a wide variety of techniques that are specific to the individual, based on your needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focus Technique, and Person Centered. My name is Bethany Gravely. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2018. I continue to feel the same passion for my job now as I did when I first started.
I am so proud of you for taking the first step to talk about your mental health. Choosing the right therapist can be a rewarding experience, but also scary. It is my job to help you navigate the stressors of life and explore different ways for you to cope with them. We all experience stress on some level so your feelings are valid and worth discussing with someone who truly cares!
My style of counseling allows for you to be in charge of your therapy. If you want helpful reading material, evidenced based practices, solutions or just a listening ear, my goal is to help you with where you are today. You are not a burden. You are not undeserving. You are not broken, or a mess to be cleaned up. You are so endlessly enough.
When I’m not working, I am spending time with my husband, our two little ones, our 3 dogs, and our cat. We just recently bought a 40 acre farm and spend our free time making it our forever home! We are hopeful to bring in larger farm animals in the upcoming years and learn to homestead!
I believe that counseling can be transformative at all ages and stages in life. Our constantly changing world presents new challenges every day. I would be honored to support you in your journey to find answers, meaning, and understanding in this confusing world.
As a counselor, I work from a person-centered approach to therapy, partnering with you to meet you where you are, leverage individual strengths and identify areas of growth and resilience. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. In our sessions. I aim to create a healthy rapport with clients, free of bias and judgment.
During this journey, I will encourage you to be open, honest and passionate in order to explore your true self. I welcome your experiences and the story your life has to tell. I look forward to working with you.
