First session
In our first session together, we will start with introductions and dive into the specific challenges you are facing. I want to learn as much as I can about you to help us tailor a specific treatment plan for us to focus on in our follow up sessions.
Strengths
Having worked in the substance abuse and mental health field for so many years, I have developed a tried and true play book and resources to use in sessions with individuals who are struggling with these issues, the challenges that they encounter, and the ability to create a plan that leads to measurable progress.
Ideal clients
I work best with clients ages 18-99. I am very versed in substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression and panic disorders as well as grief issues. At times people go through various stages through out life and I try to meet people where they are. If I am not a good fit for you, we can discuss next steps and I will help you find the right person for your needs.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is very helpful to have clients change the way they think thus changing behavior. I utilize homework as well to help make the concepts of CBT more applicable.
Christian Counseling
Depending on the clients personal preferences, I am also a biblical counselor.
Motivational Interviewing
This is particularly helpful when working with clients who are struggling with Substance Abuse issues.
