I am a licensed professional counselor with 20+ years of experience providing inpatient and outpatient counseling and crisis intervention for experiencing substance abuse and mental health issues. I specialize in working with adults from late teens to older men and women experiencing substance use disorders, depression, trauma, grief, and improvement of mindfulness. I have a passion for helping people become the best version of themselves. I also have a sense of humor and find it helpful in the therapeutic process. I am known for building a good rapport with clients and I look forward to gaining your trust as you work through your issues. Typical treatment modalities in my work with clients include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Client-centered (deep listening and non-directive) approaches.
