Hello, I am a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, NCC), based in New York. I earned my Masters degree at CUNY Queens College. I have been practicing for 6 years assisting children, teens and adult navigating daily life stressors for a more functional day. I am authentic, with a genuine approach in building a therapeutic relationship with clients for a successful and positive therapeutic experience.
Rita LaBrew, LMFT, brings a depth of experience spanning foster care, child welfare, private practice, and telehealth. I offer a collaborative therapy space grounded in clinical skill and evidence-informed care. I tailor treatment to each client’s goals, helping individuals build insight, resilience, and lasting change. I work with adults willing to look inward and reflect on their inner lives. My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy and psychoeducation to help clients understand how past experiences, unconscious patterns, and present thoughts shape emotions and behavior. By offering clarity, language, and insight, therapy becomes a space for understanding, steadiness, and meaningful change over time.
My style is thoughtful, direct, and collaborative. I use an insight-oriented psychodynamic approach to help you understand the roots beneath the pattern: family-of-origin dynamics, protective roles, and the stories you’ve had to live by. I also use psychoeducation to make therapy practical: clear language for what you’re experiencing, tools for boundaries, and ways to respond differently in real life.
Have you ever found yourself thinking, “I just need someone to truly listen”?
Every voice matters from the quietest, most silenced parts of you to the loudest thoughts that won’t seem to settle.
If you’re looking for a space where you can speak freely, without judgment, and feel genuinely heard, I would be honored to be that person for you. Sometimes it helps to talk with someone outside of family or friends someone whose role is simply to support, understand, and walk alongside you.

Briefly; I am Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I work with adult professional women dealing with anxiety, depression, past unresolved trauma, grief, stress and relationship issues. Hey there! If your negative thought loops or emotions have impacted your life in some way, I'm here to remind you that you're certainly not alone - you're human. I view therapy as a chance to improve the thinking patterns that cause you to feel anxious or depressed, and keep you down for longer than feels healthy. My aim is to help confront these problem areas and then construct goals that ultimately bring about healthy change!
Hi, I’m Dan Hoefling (he/him), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, trauma specialist, and the founder of New Chapter Mental Health Counseling. I provide active, collaborative virtual therapy for adults across New York, Florida, and Vermont who feel stuck in repetitive loops of anxiety, childhood trauma, or intense emotional triggers like anger. My clients often describe me as patient, deeply listening, and grounded, but I am not the kind of therapist who just nods along silently while you vent.
My approach is highly active and integrative, blending Internal Family Systems parts work with somatic, body-centered awareness and mindfulness tools. I believe that your current struggles, whether that looks like a harsh inner critic, an automatic defensive reaction, or a constant state of physical restlessness, are simply survival strategies that your system built to protect you. Outside of my clinical credentials as a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, my background in yoga and meditation heavily shapes how I work. I don't see you as a list of symptoms to be fixed, but as a whole person capable of deep resilience. Together, we work to safely step out of survival mode, replace self-blame with genuine curiosity, and help you author your next chapter.
My hope is to be helpful in your journey towards taking care of your needs in whatever form that they show up. I have experience in this field building relationships with my clients that are focused on feeling safe talking to somebody that you can trust and addressing what needs to be addressed. While this may take some time depending on what you're going through. I firmly believe that you have the ability to get to where you would like to be. So let's go do that.

Whether you are feeling stuck, anxious, or unsure of your next steps, you are not alone—and you do not have to figure it out by yourself. “Therapy for kids who don’t think it’s for them, parents in the thick of it, and women who are doing everything for everyone—except themselves.”
Sound like you or someone you love? Well…I’ve got you covered!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in preteens and teenagers navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and the complicated space between parents and kids. Much of my experience was built inside a school-based health clinic at the middle school level. Working with students in the middle of their actual world, not just an office. That perspective shapes everything about how I work.
As an elder millennial and a parent, myself, I understand the impossible math of work-life balance. The guilt of feeling stretched too thin and the fear that you’re somehow getting it wrong. You’re not failing your kid. You’re here, and that’s what matters.
My approach is warm but direct, grounded in evidence-based practice and genuine connection. I meet kids where they are… not where we think they should be. I work alongside parents as partners, not critics. Because you know your child better than anyone. My job is to help you find each other again.
I also have a passion of working with women of all ages who are navigating careers, life, the world we live in and all of the complexities in between. I provide a judgement free, open space to live your truth and get answers to those questions that keep you up at night.
If any of this resonates, I’d love to connect.
Every day, I have the privilege of walking alongside people who are carrying more than they feel they can bear, those who are exhausted, emotionally drained, defeated, and quietly wondering if things will ever feel different. When fear and worry take over, when the future feels uncertain, and when stress reaches a breaking point, it can be hard to believe that lasting change is even possible.
I am here to tell you that it is.
I work with people who want to move forward from feeling stuck, and I watch them discover strength they did not know they had. My work is rooted in genuine support, practical guidance, and powerful tools that create real, meaningful, and lasting change. Whether you are facing a quiet, private struggle or a deep and overwhelming season of pain, I meet you exactly where you are, without judgment, without condition.
With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I help individuals move from survival mode to a place of clarity, strength, and renewed purpose. I proudly welcome clients from every walk of life, every background, and every story and I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where every person feels truly heard, deeply valued, and fully empowered.
Your story is not over. You do not have to stay stuck, and you do not have to do this alone. Transformation is not just possible it's waiting for you. And it starts with this one courageous step.
I have a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents of various backgrounds. I believe that everyone who comes to meet with me should be treated with an individualized approach tailored to the patient's needs. I have training in therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and the Gottman Method. I assist clients with setting goals that are attainable and provide strategies that they can take from session and apply in their daily life.

You are capable, possibly the most capable person in the room, and yet something keeps getting in the way. Maybe it is the anxiety that follows you into meetings, a career crossroads you cannot seem to resolve, or a voice in your head that is harder on you than anyone else. You do not need someone to tell you what to do. You need a space to get clear, a direct approach that respects your intelligence, and tools that actually work. With 20 years of experience, I help high-functioning adults close the gap between where they are and who they know they can be.
If you are feeling stuck, disconnected, or worn down by patterns you cannot seem to break, you are not alone and you are not without options. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or a loss of confidence, I create a judgment-free space where honesty meets action. My approach is warm but direct. We will not just talk about change, we will build it through practical strategies, deeper self-awareness, and a growing ability to trust yourself again.

I hope that you feel seen, safe, and understood as we explore what’s weighing on you and help you reconnect with your own strength, clarity, and sense of possibility. As a visually impaired therapist, I bring both lived experience and clinical training to my work. My primary focus is to help adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and disability-related stress using CBT, solution-focused, humanistic, and trauma-informed approaches, with a focus on practical strategies, resilience, and meaningful change.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine conversation. My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, balancing compassion with honest feedback when it's helpful. I strive to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves while also feeling supported to change patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, relationship concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
