LMHC, 5 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a licensed mental health therapist with many years of experience providing therapy to individuals, adolescents, groups, and occasionally couples in various settings. My experience has led me to connect with many individuals at different phases in their lives who wanted to change something but didn't know how. I have worked with various populations from so many backgrounds, and all that stuck out to me was the disfranchised. A person losing their sense of autonomy and self always left me with that question, "Can I do more?" In my journey as a provider, I want to uplift my clients and remind them they have always had a voice and power that is waiting.
First sessions can feel nerve-wracking, like you need to get everything out. I am here to meet you where you at. I provide compassion and acknowledgment for taking this step. I will be curious to understand your needs and the goals you want to achieve. From there, we will establish a treatment plan towards success!
I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. You deserve to be seen and heard.
I work with adolescents and adults who are managing life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe many people do not have the space to express themselves truly. I strive to create a safe space to express oneself openly. I make it my mission to meet clients with compassion and respect.
I use CBT to help clients recognize patterns in their thinking and behavior, to assess and challenge a different approach that would be more favorable in their functioning.
DBT is a great treatment to help client effectively communicate and regulate their emotions within their relationships. I work with clients, identifying their feelings and finding a way to navigate them.
I use IFS to help shed light on parts of oneself that need to be heard, held, felt, and seen. IFS helps process traumatic wounds that client's may not be fully aware of.
I use Person-centered help to empathize with a client's voice, build rapport, and find common ground. It is important to build trust when sharing one's life experiences.
