I'm a New York Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my masters degree from the Silberman School of Social Work and Health & Life Coach Certificate from the Health Coach Institute. My practice is dedicated to working with individuals in various walks of life to become more independent and confident versions of themselves. I have over 20 years experience working with adults with various diagnosis, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will cover brief introductions. This will be followed by specific challenges and struggles you are facing. In doing this, I will be able to get to know you and begin creating a moldable plan to work on together during follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been working with individuals form various backgrounds and facing diverse mental health issues for over 20 years in various capacities from inpatient to outpatient treatment. During this time I have learned that while every person is different with individual challenges, these are not an impossible to meet to help the person achieve their personal goals. This means that by getting to know the individual and their circumstance you can develop a Care Plan that is unique to that human being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Most of my experience in using this model has to do with working with dual-diagnosed individuals working on addiction, mental health and activities of daily living.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Working with diverse populations of diverse backgrounds one has to learn about the ever changing cultures and adapt to their needs in order to better understand and and become empathetic to the challenges each brings to the practice.

Strength-Based

As a clinician working with individuals diagnosed with severe cases of mental illness, one must be supportive while empowering and teaching that no matter the level we are at, we have the strength to work on ourselves and grow. As goals are reached we realize we are stronger and more capable than we ever gave ourselves credit for.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Working with individual with past traumas the challenge it is extremely important to validate their personal experience while working on the here and now to move forward to take time to trust and move forward.
