New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and doctoral-level clinician who helps high-achieving, self-aware adults navigate anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, and life transitions. Many of my clients are deeply capable people who appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. My work focuses on helping you understand yourself more clearly, regulate your emotions more effectively, and move through life with confidence and intention.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a collaborative conversation. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand what’s bringing you in, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope will feel different as a result of therapy. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a perfectly organized story. We’ll make sense of it together. By the end of the session, you’ll have clearer direction for our work and a sense of whether we're a good fit.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is both insight-oriented and practical. I integrate person-centered, psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioral methods to address both the roots of patterns and the day-to-day tools needed for change. Clients often share that they appreciate my ability to be warm and affirming while also gently challenging them to grow. As a doctoral-level clinician and practice owner, I bring clinical depth, cultural awareness, and real-world understanding of pressure, ambition, and responsibility. I’m especially attuned to burnout, boundary struggles, and the emotional toll of being “the strong one.”
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are ready to do meaningful, reflective work. If you’re someone who tends to overthink, carry a lot of responsibility, or struggle with balancing your needs with everyone else’s, we’ll likely work well together. My clients often share a desire for deeper self-understanding, healthier relationships, and sustainable success without sacrificing their well-being.
Interpersonal
I use an interpersonal lens to help clients understand how their relationships, communication patterns, and life transitions impact their emotional wellbeing. Together, we explore attachment dynamics, boundaries, and unresolved relational stressors to reduce symptoms and strengthen connection. This approach is especially helpful for clients navigating grief, conflict, or role changes.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My foundation is person-centered, meaning I prioritize empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard in every session. I believe healing happens in a space where clients feel deeply seen and not judged. I use this approach to build a strong therapeutic alliance that allows for meaningful growth and self-trust.
Psychodynamic
I integrate psychodynamic principles to help clients uncover how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing their present behaviors and relationships. By identifying recurring themes and defense mechanisms, we work toward deeper insight and lasting change. This approach supports clients who want to understand the “why” behind their emotional responses.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. Together, we develop practical strategies to shift thinking, regulate emotions, and build healthier behaviors. This structured, goal-oriented approach provides tools clients can use between sessions and long-term.
