In 2012, I completed my undergraduate training at Paine College, where I achieved my Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with an emphasis in pre-professional studies. Seeking to understand more about human interaction and behavior, I developed an intense passion for mental health which led me to the obtainment of my Master of Science Degree in Applied Psychology with a special concentration in Behavioral Health from the University of Phoenix in 2016.
As I grew to learn and understand more about the role and impact of significant relationships and systemic issues on individual mental health, I went on to pursue and obtain my second Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University in 2022. My career journey highlights extensive hands-on experience in nearly every realm of the practice of mental/behavioral health to include child & adolescent counseling, family, marriage, and couples counseling, as well as forensic and geriatric psychology, applied behavior analysis, international education coordination services, substance abuse treatment, case management, inpatient psychiatric/crisis intervention, and treatment servicing at-risk youth in secure facilities. My Professional Background and Counseling Philosophy
My passion for mental health has shaped my work with individuals, families, and communities across a variety of settings. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with clients to enhance their well-being, drawing on my experience across diverse settings, including hospital Emergency Departments, psychiatric units, community organizations, and mental health agencies. My professional journey includes supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, assisting those facing mental illness, and working with people who have experienced homelessness and hopelessness. I have also provided both individual and group therapy within clinical settings.
Counseling Philosophy
At the core of my counseling practice is the belief that meaningful change occurs through collaboration and purposeful effort. I view my clients as the experts in their own lives and encourage them to take an active role in their treatment by investing time and energy in the process. Together, we identify the outcomes that matter most to the client and work to ensure consistent progress toward those goals. My approach centers on empowering clients by fostering self-awareness and resilience, and I am dedicated to ensuring every individual feels heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Commitment to Client Autonomy
What distinguishes my counseling style is a steadfast commitment to honoring each client’s autonomy. For example, I have worked with clients who struggle with anxiety and self-doubt. By collaborating closely, we identify the client’s unique strengths and develop practical coping strategies tailored to their needs. As clients move through this process, they gradually regain their confidence and begin taking meaningful steps toward their desired outcomes. This experience reinforced for me the importance and effectiveness of a supportive, empowering therapeutic alliance. In every interaction, my focus is on achieving the best possible results and facilitating lasting, positive change.

In doing so, my goal is to assist individuals in their healing process, to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves and to help individuals to see that life is completely what you make it.

Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
I have a passion for helping women navigate the effects that stress, trauma, and mental health concerns can have on your overall health and well-being. Oftentimes the women I work with may have depression, anxiety or chronic stress coupled with chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure or autoimmune issues. They may also have relationship concerns either with a partner, at work or little to no relationship supports.
I am Alisha Walker, a Licensed Therapist with over 25 years of experience supporting women, couples, and families in navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and seasons of overwhelm. I specialize in working with high-achieving women who are used to holding everything together for everyone else, yet often feel exhausted, unseen, or disconnected within themselves. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a deep belief that healing is possible and you don’t have to carry it alone.
My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed care, mind-body practices, and, when desired, Christian counseling and faith integration. In our work together, we look at how stress and past experiences may be impacting your emotional and physical health, while building practical tools for grounding, emotional regulation, and overall wellness. Sessions are tailored to the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and relationships.
Many of my clients are navigating demanding careers, caregiving roles, relationship shifts, grief, or seasons of change. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. You don’t have to hold everything alone. If you choose to work with me, I can help you move from survival to a place of clarity, a renewed sense of peace, improved relationships and overall wellness. My desire is to help you have a better quality of life and a longer life.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate about being a therapist and actually feels called to it. I believe that we all deserve to live a meaningful and fulfilled life, where we feel ACCEPTED, HEARD, SEEN, CARED FOR, and VALUED. I have a genuine interest about people… about how we became the people that we are, who and what influenced are decisions, what we believe, and how they contribute to the ways we think, feel and behave. I am zealous about helping people know and appreciate who they really are, and not just what people and experiences have conditioned them to believe they should be.
My main areas of focus are on Anxiety, Attachment Issues, Self-Worth and Trauma where I infuse a mixture of CBT, EMDR, Inner Child, Parts Works and Reality therapy in our sessions to achieve your goals in therapy. However, the greatest help I provide is giving you different perspectives and insight that you may have not been considered before, which in turn may change the way you feel and think about the situation. It is my hope that after understanding how your past has shaped how you view your current circumstances, and presses on your future, that you can heal from it and move forward.
My Christian faith is also a big part of who I am and how I view the world. For those interested in incorporating Christian counseling in sessions this can be an amazing way to grow your faith, and help to reestablish your belief in God and how He sees you. I understand that not everyone feels or believes the way I do, and that is perfectly fine. Being a Christian is not a requirement to meet with me, nor does it have to influence our sessions unless desired.
I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others.
We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.
Recognizing the need for help is an important first step. In fact, rather than acknowledging a weakness, it is a sign of strength. I want to help you to build on that strength to achieve success in the areas you are struggling with.
Specializing in relationship dynamics, I invite individuals, couples, and families to improve communication, resolve conflict, and build skills to manage anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and more. Christian counseling, men's issues, and family roles are additional areas of special focus I provide.
I believe in personal responsibility, the reality of options at your disposal, and your ability to make decisions that are good for you with clarity. Ownership results in liberty. I would be working with you to help things make more sense and see a path forward.
Integrating clinical expertise with Christian values, I strive to support emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth. I believe true healing occurs when mind, body, and spirit are nurtured together. My work focuses on helping clients manage stress, regulate emotions and move forward with hope, faith, and intention while honoring each individual's unique journey.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and my graduate studies at the University of South Carolina. Throughout my career, I have served diverse populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults.

Life can be unpredictable. During tough times, having a therapist who looks at the whole picture can make a real difference. I have spent years helping people work through challenges like communication issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, conflicts with others, and grief. Good therapy looks at how your thoughts, feelings, body, and sense of purpose all connect. My approach focuses on the whole person. I work alongside clients to find healthier ways forward and create meaningful change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. I hold two master's degrees from Mercer University and a doctorate from Emory University, and I have been practicing for 19 years. I support adults facing life changes, relationship issues, grief, and personal growth as they look for a better path.
I am Zatascha Burton, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing informed, evidence-based care. I prioritize staying current on best practices to ensure that my clients receive the highest quality support. My practice is rooted in creating an affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment—particularly for individuals within the BIPOC community and young people seeking guidance in navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, work/life balance and emotional distress.
I have been licensed since 2019 and have worked in the behavioral health field since 2010. My professional experience includes serving adults and school-age youth throughout the Southeast Georgia region for more than eight years. In 2020, I expanded my work by establishing my private practice.
I am deeply passionate about psychotherapy and the meaningful connections it allows me to build. My commitment stems from a genuine desire to help others feel heard, supported, and understood. I strive to offer a safe, judgment-free space where individuals from diverse backgrounds can explore their experiences, cultivate resilience, and move toward personal growth and healing.
Hey yall! I am Eveny Walker, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, however most people call me Ev. I like to refer to myself as the "healing therapist". Not because I am proclaiming to be a healer, but because I am healing just as you are! Life happens. We all need a safe space to process the craziness life throws at us and assistance with managing those unpredictable emotions. Like many of you, life has thrown me some curveballs: divorce, grief, identity crisis. And like you, I am making the daily choice to heal. The daily choice of finding joy beyond the noise of life. I would love the opportunity to stand by you in achieving your healing journey.
