Hiya! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Georgia State University and have been practicing since 1999. I recently retired from the Wellstar Hospital System where I provided therapy, evaluations and case management on the behavioral health unit and in the emergency departments. I offer LCSW supervision to master's level clinicians. I also execute Guardianship Evaluations for the probate court systems. I help adults ages 18 through to 'senior-hood' struggling with a variety of stressful situations which may cause them anxiety in all it's forms.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then discover together your desired outcome and any specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my years of providing counselling, case management and supervision, I have worked with clients with domestic violence issues, diagnosed mental illness, and many other anxieties and disorders. I am adept in providing an eclectic set of therapies to meet a client's individual needs.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have introduced clients with obsessions and compulsions to this approach. I partner this with the RAIN meditation technique and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping}

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I introduce the RAIN technique (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture) For emotion regulation, I utilize NAILER (Notice, Allow, Label, Explore, Release) I share mindfulness resources I discover via e-mails. We will try to cultiviate the treasures: love, compassion, healing and hope. I introduce clients to EFT (Emotional Freedon Therapy) "Tapping"

Motivational Interviewing

I have extensive training in this method through the ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) where we used the Prime for Life program. We will start from where the client is and incorporate REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy) and cognitive behavioral therapy to challenge unrealistic thinking

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience with the Solution Focused Diamond Technique. We start with what the client hopes to obtain from a session. What is their Desired Outcome and where they have experienced it in the past. Sequential sessions, should they wish to schedule, will begin with what wonderful things have happened to them since the previous one.
