I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I have dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and life-changing medical diagnoses. During the first session, I will introduce myself to my clients. I will make certain to discuss standard procedures for scheduling appointments, confidentiality, and communicating between sessions. I will ask my clients lots of questions to learn a bit about their history as well as discover their goals for treatment.
My therapeutic approach draws on the fundamentals of CBT, DBT, IPI, MI and solution-focused therapy. I believe that treatment methodologies are not one size fits all, however, my warmth and empathy are shared with everyone.
I have experience treating individuals ages 18 and older. I treat clients battling depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and life-changing medical diagnoses. I have also helped individuals facing issues related to racial, ethnic and gender discrimination.

Our introductory encounter was phenomenal. Allena was very intentional in her effort to really see and hear me, the human, beyond the positional narrative and its interpretation. Rather than seeking information to identify a classification or label, she worked to open a dialogue for insight into who I am and the realities of my experiences.
