Hello and welcome. I'm Scarlet, a mental health counselor dedicated to empowering high-achievers. If you're successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, doubtful, or burned out on the inside, I provide a sanctuary. Together, we'll transform stress into strength and achievement into holistic well-being, so you can thrive in all areas of your life. My approach is like a compass: warm yet direct, helping you challenge limiting beliefs, set unshakable boundaries, and rebuild confidence from the inside out. I believe in working collaboratively to not just manage symptoms, but to uncover and heal the root causes of your struggles. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, healing old wounds, or simply longing to feel ‘enough,’ I’ll help you reclaim ownership of your story. We will blend practical strategies with deep, insightful work, ensuring you have both the tools for daily life and the foundational shifts for lasting change. Growth begins when you stop fighting alone.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about connection and clarity. It's a low-pressure space for us to get to know each other and for you to determine if I feel like the right fit. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy now and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions to understand your history, your current daily functioning, and the strengths you already possess. You'll get a clear sense of my style and how I work. Most importantly, we'll start to outline what our collaborative journey could look like. By the end, you should feel heard, respected, and have a glimpse of the path forward toward your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I offer high-achievers a rare synthesis—a space where your "CEO" and inner child can sit down together, where boardroom strategy meets shadow/soul work, and where the goal isn't just to survive your success, but to redefine it entirely on your own terms. I am not just a therapist; I am a transformational guide for those who have mastered the external world and are now ready to master the internal one.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in supporting high-achieving individuals who face unique challenges. You balance multiple roles under high expectations, which can feel like a relentless juggling act. Despite your accomplishments, you might be plagued by impostor syndrome, burnout, and the fear that your success is jeopardizing your well-being. You desire a sanctuary—a place where the stress of achieving transforms into opportunities for personal growth. My work is dedicated to helping you move beyond just career success to holistic success: a life where your personal well-being isn't sacrificed on the altar of your achievements, and you can finally enjoy the fulfillment you've worked so hard for.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

These are my go-to frameworks for creating immediate, practical change. My 20 years in corporate America gave me a front-row seat to how destructive unexamined thought patterns can be. I use CBT/REBT to help you identify the limiting beliefs (e.g., "I must be perfect," "My worth equals my output") that fuel anxiety and burnout. We then actively challenge and restructure these thoughts into more flexible, realistic ones, building cognitive resilience you can use daily.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

This isn't just a technique; it's the essential lens through which I view all our work. As a military brat and a professional who navigated misogyny and microaggressions, I understand that power structures, social identities, and cultural context are not side notes—they are central to your story. We will explore how your background, societal expectations, and systemic forces shape your experiences, ensuring therapy is a space where your whole identity is honored and affirmed.

Motivational Interviewing

I use MI as our collaborative compass, especially when you feel stuck or ambivalent about change. Instead of pushing an agenda, I use reflective listening and strategic questioning to help you uncover and strengthen your own intrinsic motivation.

Psychodynamic

"Dig deep to the root." While CBT addresses the "what" of your thoughts, psychodynamic and Jungian approaches help us explore the "why." We’ll look at early experiences, attachment patterns, and the unconscious material (like dreams or recurring symbols) that may be influencing your present life. This process is key for healing old wounds and understanding the deeper narratives driving your behavior, leading to profound self-awareness and integration.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The person-centered philosophy ensures our space is always one of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and genuineness—you are the expert on your life. From Reality Therapy, I incorporate a focus on present choices and personal responsibility. We’ll consistently link your actions to your needs and goals, asking, "Are your current behaviors getting you what you truly want?" This keeps our work grounded and forward-moving.
