I am a compassionate and dedicated counselor based in Roswell, Georgia, with over six years of experience in both school and private practice settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, helping individuals from ages 6 and above navigate a variety of life challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship difficulties. My approach is grounded in a blend of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, tailored to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. In my work, I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and other modalities, creating a flexible and holistic treatment plan. I believe in empowering clients by helping them build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and effective coping skills. Whether I’m working with children, adolescents, or adults, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered to make lasting changes. In school settings, I have worked closely with students to address academic stress, social-emotional issues, and behavioral concerns, collaborating with teachers and parents to foster a positive and supportive learning environment. In my private practice, I provide a space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a confidential setting, allowing for deeper healing and personal growth. My work is deeply rooted in a belief in each individual’s potential for growth and healing, and I am committed to providing the guidance and tools needed to help my clients lead fulfilling, balanced lives. Whether you are navigating childhood challenges, adolescence, or adulthood, I am here to walk alongside you on your journey toward emotional well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in meeting each client where they are in their journey and offering a non-judgmental space for growth and understanding. Having experience in community counseling, private practice counseling, school counseling, and even as a middle school teacher I have a wide range of understanding what it is like for clients in different spaces. I aim to create a counseling experience that extends outside of just the 60 minute session, but instead create a team that's goal is to best support the client.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Helps clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress or unhelpful behaviors. Through guided conversation and structured exercises, I work with the client to reframe distorted thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and gradually apply these changes in real-life situations.

Faith based therapy

Giving space for clients who have or have not had a positive relationship with religion as well as those who are new on their journey.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Guiding the client through understanding how trauma has impacted their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I integrate cognitive restructuring, relaxation techniques, and trauma narrative work to help the client process painful memories safely. I will also work with caregivers to improve communication and support, ensuring the healing process is holistic and sustainable. The goal is to reduce trauma-related symptoms and enhance coping skills, promoting recovery and emotional well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Help clients develop a greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment, without judgment. Through mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises, body scans, and guided meditation, clients learn to observe their experiences rather than react to them impulsively. I also guide clients in cultivating acceptance and compassion toward themselves, reducing stress and enhancing emotional regulation.

Eclectic

Draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques, tailoring the treatment to the individual client's needs, preferences, and goals. This flexible and integrative approach allows me to combine elements from different modalities—such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and humanistic therapies—to address the client's unique challenges. I will continuously assess what works best for the client and adapt strategies to ensure effective and personalized support.
