Hi! I’m a graduate of Barry University with my license in Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in trauma, grief, and self-esteem. I offer individual, family, and marriage and couples therapy to families. Feeling stuck is part of being human—but you don’t have to stay there. We all carry the weight of past mistakes and difficult moments, but healing begins when we choose to move forward. Progress isn’t always linear or perfect, and that’s okay. What matters is recognizing growth—however small—and continuing to move toward a healthier, more balanced life. As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, I’m here to help you navigate those stuck places with compassion and clarity. My person-centered approach is tailored to your strengths, your goals, and the pace that feels right for you. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating life changes, or simply want to feel more like yourself again, I offer a supportive space where meaningful change can happen. With flexible teletherapy options—weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly—you can begin your journey to wellness from the comfort of your own space. Reach out by email, phone, or text to take the first step. I look forward to helping you become the best version of yourself.

I am Gillian. I am a natural born empath. Do you struggle with the push through mentality? I want the individuals I work with to feel heard, to feel understood, to know they can be 100 percent themselves with zero judgment. I know finding the right therapist can be difficult. My approach is Person Centered based. This means I wholeheartedly believe a person has the capacity for growth. My specialties include working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy. I can help with navigating complex and uncomfortable emotions. Seeking therapy is an act of prioritizing yourself. It takes courage to be vulnerable. It can be difficult to get to a place of peace and find joy in the simplest of things when you are in that so to speak tunnel.

I genuinely believe in the power of therapy. So much can be improved upon through supportive connections, empathy and the general resilience of the human condition. I have a vested curiosity in the lived experiences of my clients and a commitment to their growth and goals. Change itself is inevitable, and at times can feel insurmountable, that said together we can work to direct the trajectory of where those changes may take you. A bit about me; I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have approximately 6 years of clinical experience. I am a born and raised Floridian - from St. Petersburg, FL - however, I spent much of my young adult life traveling and moving about (Miami, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Costa Rica, New Orleans and now back in the Tampa Bay Area). I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of North Florida. In 2020, I graduated from Jacksonville University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. During my graduate study, I completed clinical internship (1500+ hours of direct client work) with a Hospice agency as a bereavement counselor. Post-graduation, I was hired by that same agency and counseled surviving loved ones of Hospice patients through their grief journey and efforts to adjust. Surviving loss is manageable and grief therapy can help with visualizing a more hopeful future that honors your loved ones.

My career began outside of mental health, in brutal corporate environments (Arthur Andersen, PwC, Korn Ferry) where I earned an MBA in International Marketing from George Washington University, completed postgraduate work at Emory University, and engaged in complex, multi-stakeholder projects across the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Nearly a decade ago, I shifted focus from business development, talent acquisition and organizational performance to personal transformation. I have worked in a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment centers, and private practice, specializing in trauma resolution and identity restoration. I worked exclusively with convicted felons for 3-years which, by matter of necessity, forced me to learn and refine therapeutic techniques beyond anything I could have imagined. This combination of global business acumen and advanced clinical training allows me to meet executives at an entirely different level than most therapists, offering a process that is both strategically rigorous and deeply human.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS! That is the key!! With 25 years of experience, much research, studying, and face to face experience living and working all over the world, I realized relationships with yourself and with others can make or break our contentment in life! But there are skills to learn to make it happen, skills such as self-awareness, ability to pay attention to the world around us and our own bodies (mindfulness), learning to grieve and let go while embracing change, learning the characteristics of a healthy relationship with others and with ourselves, and accessing our strengths while focusing on the beauty in life. I'd love to walk with you through this process to restore hope.

Do you find yourself constantly overwhelmed or feeling on edge? Do you feel irritable with everything and everyone? These can be very painful feelings and a common experience. Unfortunately, many people find it easier to ignore the feeling, “push things under the rug”, and leave it for another day. Over time, this can lead to relationship issues, chronic anxiety, and even depression. Throughout the therapeutic process, we will work on identifying some of the triggers causing these emotional disturbances. We will dive deep and pinpoint reasons as to why these negative feelings surfaced originally. You will also come out of therapy with the necessary tools to calm your mind. The quote “knowing is half the battle” plays a big part in trying to solve what is happening in your life. Life is too short to be constantly on edge all day long…it is exhausting if you ask me. Time and time again I see people living with the everyday doom and gloom feeling and not doing anything about it. I have worked with many individuals, couples, and families who have taken the first step to resolving that overwhelming feeling they experience for weeks, months, and even years. My favorite part of being a therapist is witnessing how my clients experience a better quality of life.

Hi there, I'm Betty. Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or major life changes? Maybe you're experiencing a lack of healthy boundaries in relationships or aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs, I am an experienced licensed mental health counselor who works with those struggling with relationship issues, grief, trauma, mood disorders, boundaries, anxiety, depression, daily life struggles etc. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Transformation and healing are obtained by developing a positive outlook and the adoption of new attitudes and responses. My purpose as a therapist is to help you along the path to a functional and fulfilling life. Whether the obstacles to achieving this goal are habits and behaviors you want to change, relationship issues, or present and past traumas. We will work together to develop a comprehensive plan to alleviate or minimize stressors and struggles. The goal is to move in positive directions while establishing healthy coping skills. There are many reasons that a person may seek counseling. Facing hardships in life can be very difficult, especially when trying to navigate them alone. Letting others into our pain and circumstances can be scary. It can also be a time for immense growth. Therapy can provide both support and hope as you work towards a greater sense of wholeness and healing. I enjoy helping people gain a greater sense of identity and purpose through a creative, emotionally focused, and experiential approach to therapy. Whether dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome any challenges and barriers holding you back. Let's work together!

Hello, beautiful soul. I know the day-to-day may not be so great for you right now. Life has a way of showing up in a very real way at the most unexpected times, knocking the wind right out of us. In the ever-changing cycles and transitions of life, sometimes, we say goodbye to people we never thought we would, we separate from familiar places and things whether we’re ready or not, and we face the unknown with lingering uncertainty, not quite sure where to go, what to do, or to whom we can turn. Surviving comes at a cost to our overall health and wellness. I am so grateful you are here. While it may be difficult for you to believe while you are questioning your self-worth: You are worthy, breathing and existing as you are. Progress is subjective. So is happiness. So is success. The recipe for the version of self you can admire most begins here, now. Let's take a regenerative approach to wellness, together. Let's cultivate humanity.

Hi, I’m Cyndi Oberdan, and if you’re reading my page, I can tell that no matter what you are going through right now, you have COURAGE. Maybe you don’t feel brave, but it takes COURAGE to ask for help, and Courage to venture “into the unknown.” I would be honored to journey with you on this new adventure of yours. I have been serving people for over 15 years. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in 2006 from the University of Florida in Recreational Therapy. Later, in 2013, I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University. Over the last 15 years, I have had the privilege to work in a variety of settings. I started off working with individuals diagnosed with a developmental or intellectual disability and their families. I had the privilege of running a family respite program, and later the honor to manage a Community Habilitation program where I assisted individuals ages 13 to 60+ with achieving their goals. (These goals varied from basic life skills, to enhancing academic skills, to developing coping skills, all while increasing socialization and connection). Later I worked in Child Welfare, as a Child Protective Investigator; investigating allegations of abuse/neglect and ensuring child safety. I have also worked with families, assisting them with getting to the root of their issues while strengthening the family unit. Lastly, I have worked as a medical social worker, both in the hospital and in the outpatient Clinics, as well as in the Emergency Department. I provide crisis intervention, case management, and counseling services; assisting patients with trauma, adjustment disorder, grief and socioeconomic barriers. I use an eclectic approach to meet the needs of each individual client. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Social work chose me! When I wrote my personal essay for my MSW, I realized social work had always surrounded me. I remember helping elderly neighbors, teaching friends how to count money, and researching services for my autistic brother. There were so many events between those gaps and yet to come. I always desired to help people. My brother’s diagnosis widened my eyes to my calling, but life had other plans for me and I became a secretary. As a secretary, I found myself being hired in the mental health arena, including the areas of AIDS research, mental health, addiction services, and college counseling. Social work is my second career but it's always been my first passion. I pull from both my personal and professional experiences and allow these experiences to teach and mold me.

Hello, friends. Are you emotionally exhausted due to ongoing conflicts in life? Moreover, are you utterly overwhelmed while trying to secure a meaningful connection with family or loved ones? If so, you are not alone. Several children maintain the notion that "parents just don't understand." Conversely, many parents believe their children are mentally and emotionally disconnected from family. If this sounds like your case. . .I am extending my "virtual" hand. Let us work together to overcome issues that have long stopped you and your family from being happy, healthy, and whole. My name is Dr. Austin, LCSW, and I assist children and families in their efforts to create a communal living environment where families thrive, not merely survive. I believe in establishing a safe, judgment-free therapeutic setting where all are treated with unconditional positive regard.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Qualified Supervisor with over a decade of experience across diverse settings, including substance recovery, hospice care, and correctional facilities. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Indian River State College in 2014 and my Master of Social Work from Barry University in 2017. My work has focused on supporting individuals through addiction, grief and loss, incarceration, anxiety, depression, and both childhood and generational trauma. I also work closely with couples and families navigating complex dynamics. At the core of my practice is a deep belief that everyone holds the potential for healing, growth, and meaningful change. My therapy style is warm, collaborative, and direct—with plenty of compassion and a touch of humor. I use humor intentionally to break down walls, ease heavy conversations, and remind clients that healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. I value authenticity and create a space where clients can feel truly seen and heard without judgment. I take a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, customizing my methods to fit each individual’s journey. My toolbox includes cognitive-behavioral, existential, narrative, and client-centered therapies—all aimed at helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence. Therapy with me is about real conversations, practical tools, and the belief that even small steps can lead to big change. If you're ready to explore what’s holding you back and start moving toward what’s possible, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Welcome, I’ve been a mental health counselor since my early 20s, licensed since 1997, and have worked with hundreds of clients from varied backgrounds in individual counseling, addressing diverse challenges. Counseling can be a quick, effective way to lessen suffering and its impacts—like strained relationships, difficulties at work or school, physical health issues, substance use, or suicidal thoughts—caused by life’s hardships. Together, we’ll review your past, tackle current issues, and plan a clear route to your goals. I specialize in brief therapy, a focused, time-limited approach that delivers rapid relief for depression and anxiety, often through structured techniques. I also treat the effects of accumulated traumas—such as combat, childhood abuse (physical or sexual), emotional neglect, poverty, and loss—using targeted methods to foster healing.

Ready to spill? My name is Nancy Muricken - neuroaffirming therapist (ADHD fam I see you), chai enthusiast, and your future emotional support human (if you want me to be). I offer individual therapy grounded in clinical insight, infused with millennial energy, and flavored with a touch of South Indian spice. Being raised in the diverse neighborhoods of Queens, NY (yes, just like your friendly neighborhood Spiderman) gave me a deep cultural competence that now enrich my therapeutic approach. As someone living with progressive vision loss since I was a child, I know what it feels like when life starts to unravel. You don’t have to choose between honoring your culture and caring for your mental health, you can do both. Whether you're untangling your identity, spiraling at 3 a.m., or trying to doom-scroll your way out of an existential crisis, I got you. We’ll explore it all together. My approach blends several therapeutic styles: *Psychodynamic Therapy – to uncover how childhood and family dynamics still show up today (yep, we’re going there) *CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – to help reframe those “I’m not enough” thoughts *Mindfulness – because sometimes we just need to breathe and not dissociate *Culturally Sensitive, Trauma-Informed Care – to support deep insight and healing Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and real. We’ll laugh, cry, unpack, and grow (sometimes all in one session) You deserve a space where you don’t have to over-explain yourself, mask your emotions, or code-switch your pain.I offer that space and I bring my full, authentic self into it, so you can too. If you're ready to start healing, reclaim your story, or just want to vibe-check a therapist who gets it, book a consult or reach out. And yes, we can absolutely spill the chai together. :)
