I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with three years of professional experience. I have experience in assisting the client in managing their stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, helping them to increase their self-esteem, their confidence and their motivation. In addition, I am well-versed in assisting clients with depression. I believe that you are the writer of your story which means you have the power to create your desired outcome, and you have what it takes to overcome the challenges and obstacles that can keep you from reaching your goals and dreams. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you in your journey. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, clients can expect to engage in an open and supportive conversation where we'll explore their concerns and goals for therapy. I'll explain my approach, including how I use the ACT method, and we'll work together to identify key areas to focus on. This session is also an opportunity for us to begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship, setting the foundation for our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The areas that are my biggest strengths are depression, anxiety, and trauma. From my experience in the previously stated areas, I have found mindfulness therapy to be very helpful. The specific skills in mindfulness therapy include activities such as meditation, yoga, and different types of exercises. I believe that real change begins once we become aware of our behaviors, good or bad. Awareness is a big factor toward change and we can't be aware of our behaviors if we are not mindful of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my therapy practice, I use the ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) method to help clients accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment, encouraging them to stay present in the moment. I guide them to identify their core values and commit to actions that align with those values, promoting psychological flexibility. This approach allows my clients to build resilience and make meaningful changes in their lives.
