Hello, my name is Luiza and I am the owner/therapist of FIT MIND counseling services. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in FL & MA and a Licensed Professional Counselor in DC, GA & VA. I am from Brazil, and I speak Portuguese as well :) I can understand Spanish pretty well too, but I do not speak fluently. FIT MIND counseling services enjoys empowering clients finding a more meaningful way to live their lives and assisting them learning about the importance of self-love. Helping clients to focus on themselves and on their self-care is a precious thing. When they learn to embrace and unconditionally love for being themselves, they become stronger in the face of negativity and more able to hold onto positive thoughts when faced with challenges. Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness. People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it? Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! My mission is to inspire others to live their purpose. For over 30 years, I have counseled individuals, couples and families with their relationships. The #1 relationship problem goes beyond communication. It is learning to resolve conflict and becoming stronger through it. It is about accepting differences as different and not wrong. Whether you just want a stronger relationship or you are in a crisis and do not know which way to turn, the only thing holding you back holding right now is probably fear. Ask yourself: What would love do? It is important for us to have conscious relationships so that our children will have a better chance of being successful in their own relationships. Otherwise we will watch them repeat our mistakes. Do it for you; do it for them. My education is in psychology, counseling psychology, spirituality and hundreds if not thousands of hours in continuing education on multiple additional topics.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled beneath the surface. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-doubt, or persistent patterns they can’t quite untangle on their own. My style is thoughtful, steady, and insight-oriented. I integrate practical tools for emotional regulation with deeper exploration of relational patterns and attachment dynamics. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and meaningful — a place where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you. Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and attuned. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty and structured enough for real change. My work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on building emotional clarity, stability, and more secure ways of relating — to others and to yourself. I have been a practicing social worker for more than 30 years . Much of this experience has been working in a large public teaching hospital in Miami, Florida. The scope of service that the hospital provides is quite comprehensive which afforded me opportunities to work with a very diverse population . i have counseled patients and their families dealing with a variety of illnesses, both physical and mental health, survivors of sexual assault, and also providing counseling to patients in a correctional setting. I like challenging situations. My style of counseling is very eclectic, depends on the client and their unique set of problems. This can range from client centered, solution oriented or cognitive behavioral as many people are coming to therapy to learn new ways of thinking and alternative coping strategies. For the past two years, I have been involved in teletherapy providing psychotherapy to clients that are experiencing such problems as anxiety, depression, employment, relationship, and interpersonal difficulties. Also I have been providing counseling to teenagers dealing with the above issues and involving their parents when indicated.

I predominantly work with young men struggling with social anxiety disorder. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy for social anxiety because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, poor self-worth, and poor self-confidence. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfilling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!

My name is Michael and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina. As a psychotherapist, my vocation is supporting individuals, working together on your journey toward self-discovery, healing, and learning to thrive from the comfort and convenience of your home or office, and when it is most convenient for you. My work commonly addresses individuals experiencing difficulties in life due to problems stemming from difficulties early in life, anxiety, depression, major life changes, academic challenges (undergrad, graduate, post-graduate studies), the discomfort of feelings that go along with hypervigilance, procrastination, and perfectionism. Sometimes, we need help from someone new, experienced with developing collaborative relationships to find strengths we take for granted, and to embrace that we can be the person we’re meant to be. I strive to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where you can feel heard, challenged, and equipped with tools to navigate life with greater clarity and confidence.

* I am never enough and somehow always too much.* * I have always felt like the black sheep of the family.* Does this sound familiar? From the outside, you look like you have it all together, but on the inside it feels like a completely different story. You may feel worn down by constant worries and sadness, overwhelmed, or on edge. You might not even remember a time when things felt easier. But one thing is clear: you are ready for relief. You are ready to feel calm. You are ready to feel grounded and at peace with yourself. Most of all, you are ready to rediscover your true, confident self. Let's move past the outside noise and focus on real change.

Everyday is a series of small revolutions, realizations, adjustments, and changes that expand and contract within our beings. Therapy is a place to release, process, unpack, and unwind. Essentially, it's space to breathe and reconnect. Show yourself kindness and compassion. You do deserve the best life has to offer! Give yourself a breather, a pat on the back, and a smile as you embark upon your day.

You may have heard things like, “Just move on,” “let it go,” or “that’s in the past.” But if the pain is still there, if your heart feels heavy, if it affects your daily life, if you have to pretend everything is fine, or if it takes great effort just to get through your responsibilities, you may be experiencing trauma-related responses. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where you can process what you’ve been through, validate your emotions, and develop healthy ways to heal and move forward. A trauma-focused approach allows us to work gently and effectively with your experiences while strengthening your emotional stability and sense of control. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), bilingual in English and Spanish, with extensive experience providing trauma-focused individual therapy. I earned my Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida, and have been practicing as a mental health professional since 2017. Prior to working in the United States, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree and practiced as a Psychotherapist in Cuba for eight years.

Hi, I'm Julia, and I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in your life. I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and women who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, and difficult life experiences. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by overthinking, people-pleasing, low self-confidence, or the pressure of trying to meet other's expectations while neglecting their own needs. I help those who are struggling during life transitions, build confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self. I also work with women who find themselves caught in patterns of people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling responsible for other's emotions. Together, we work to create healthier relationships, increase self-worth, and build a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. For teens experiencing anxiety, depression, identity concerns, or social struggles, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and build confidence. I'm trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. Whether you're carrying effects of childhood trauma, painful relationships, or difficult life events, EMDR can help reduce the emotional impact of those experiences and support healing. I work with individuals who experience communication difficulties, conflict, trust issues, or relationship stress. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves and others while developing healthier ways of communicating and connecting. My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches to meet your unique needs and goals. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I look forward to supporting you on through healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change.

We’ll begin with introductions, creating a space where you can share at your own pace, with no pressure or urgency to disclose personal details. My priority is to foster a sense of trust and rapport, so you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the process. With over 24 years of clinical experience, I specialize in helping clients manage stress, depression, anxiety, family conflict, and relationship challenges. My approach is rooted in respect, sensitivity, and compassion—I tailor each treatment plan to fit your unique needs. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and together, we’ll work toward solutions that bring clarity, resilience, and healing. Many have shared that I help them see beyond rigid perspectives, create new possibilities, and manage their emotions in a healthier way. They find comfort in knowing that therapy with me is a safe space where they feel truly heard. In therapy, I counsel individuals, families, couples, and children. No matter how trivial an issue may seem, everyone has issues in life. If it is causing you emotional pain, that is a good reason to seek out help. I understand everyone has a different journey in their lives and I would like to assist you in your path to self-discovery and healing. Your issues may be stress, loneliness, sadness, frustration, or concern for a loved one. You are not alone and I am ready to help you explore strategies to help you improve your life. Each session is provided in a warm and compassionate environment. I will ask you some questions so I can understand which issues you want to focus on. Therapy is a process of learning and the rewards are great. You will develop parts of yourself that you did not know existed. This will help you to become a better parent, partner, and best friend to yourself and your loved ones. Are you ready to take that step of self-discovery to become the best version of yourself? I want to guide you in your path to self-discovery, happiness, and peace. I have been counseling clients for over 24 years and I work with all populations. My counseling modalities include Cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution-focused, and Person-Centered therapy. When I counsel children, I use all of these in addition to Play therapy. Many of the therapeutic issues we work together on are Self-esteem, relationships, communication, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, Social skills, and grief. I am a licensed therapist and have a Masters Degree in counseling. I have spent many years counseling children, adolescents, and adults. Although therapy may look different with each population, the process is equally meaningful in all sessions.

I am someone who likes to make a difference. I love helping people, and love seeing the changes client's can make when they know the path through. My therapeutic approach is inspired by a profound message from one of my favorite therapists: “You may feel like you're in the desert right now, but I will walk beside you. I won't pull you or push you. When you're tired, we'll rest. When you're scared, I'll stand with you. When you're sad, I'll sit with you. Together, we will reach the other side.” These words continue to resonate deeply with me and shape my compassionate, supportive practice.
