Seasoned Catholic Perspective with 30 Years of Experience Most Major Insurances Accepted via Telehealth I integrate clinical expertise and our shared faith to accompany you towards becoming fully alive. While I am physically located in the Florida Panhandle, I provide specialized telehealth counseling to individuals and couples throughout the state of Florida. (I offer a 'fit-first' approach. If we discover within the first 15 minutes of our initial session that we aren't a good match, the session will be concluded at no cost to you.) _______________________________________________________________________________________ A counseling relationship is often necessary to effectuate meaningful change--identifying and interrupting maladaptive patterns and building new ones. We’ll examine your history, resolve current challenges, and map a clear path to your goals. I specialize in brief, focused therapy that can result in relief from depression and anxiety, plus targeted treatment for accumulated trauma (combat, childhood physical/sexual abuse, emotional neglect, poverty, loss). Kind Regards, Silvio

I began my work in the field in 2007 and have been fully licensed since 2017. I consider myself to be an exceptionally empathetic and caring counselor who meets my clients where they're at. I will push my clients to experience emotions and to sit with them in ways they haven't before. However, I do this in a safe manner where we simply expand the limits each time and create safety in each session to fully allow the client to embrace the process. I strive to help my clients make sense of their life and the experiences they've had. I have great respect for each individual's journey and understand there is value in all of us. I strive for all of my clients to feel seen, heard, respected, accepted, and not judged. From the very first session, my clients feel heard through my exceptional empathic listening skills. I ask evocative questions to get to the heart of the matter and to push the client to think more in depth and perhaps even with a different perspective about struggles or experiences that have caused them strife.

I entered the field of social work 10+ years ago to advocate for and assist others in finding their voice. I quickly learned I was able to use my skills to help clients overcome obstacles and navigate broken systems. Over the course of my career, the need to address mental health disparities became apparent, as did the lack of available providers to do so. I became a licensed therapist to help clients live a life free of shame, one that is authentic without needing anyone else’s approval.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to invest in your healing and growth. I believe we all carry within us the resources we need to enjoy life in a realistic and authentic way. As a psychotherapist, I help people utilize their thinking, speaking and actions to tap into the present moment and move towards greater health and wellness. I have experience working with mental health diagnosis and treatment In both outpatient and inpatient settings, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and loss and trauma disorder such as PTSD. A good therapist will not shame or blame you; will not try to become your parent or your buddy. They will cheer you on your journey and at times, help you see yourself in a new and different way. They will not do the work for you. They will help you keep accountable to yourself and the goals you create together in the work. They will encourage clear communication, authenticity, patience and compassion both for yourself and others. Accountability is a necessary part of any therapeutic relationship. I require at least 24 hours' notice prior to cancelling your scheduled appointment. Same day cancellations or no shows are subject to a Grow therapy fee of $50. Similarly, if I have to cancel within 24 hours' notice your next session will be free. The therapy process is engaged, dynamic and can be immensely satisfying. I look forward to your journey and wish you courage, compassion and power!

Welcome! My name is Corina and I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I went to school at Palm Beach Atlantic University for both my undergrad and masters education. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a Christian University and I feel grateful to have attended this school as it has created the person I am today. I believe that my faith has developed me into the counselor I am today and I function with that mentality in counseling. Jesus is the great counselor and I believe that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years and have been licensed for 4 of those years. I have worked the majority of my career in an in-patient addictions center and have expanded to outpatient and in-home therapy with a couple of different community agencies. In those agencies, I have offered services to children from the ages of 4 to adults in their 60s, as well as family therapy. I have worked with an array of issues not limited to family conflict, relationship issues, communication, drugs and alcohol, anger, stress, coping skills and many other life issues. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a modality that I primarily work with and at times borrows from other modalities when it is fit. My goal is to build a real, raw and positive relationship while being compassionate and empathetic. I will be sensitive but also direct in my efforts to help you find solutions to your current and/or past issues. I also believe that incorporating the use of coping skills, boundaries and communication will increase the quality of life as well as the quality of relationships. I believe all interactions are the beginning of potential flourishing relationships. With that said, I think that as we grow in counselor and client relationships, this very relationship will better help you with your relationships with family, friends and co-workers. I am excited to meet you and to work with you as you learn new ways to live your very best life! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.

During a 13-year career in industry working as an engineer, I became inspired through a steady variety of volunteer work helping others within my community. I returned to school and earned my Master of Social Work degree. Recognizing that our body actively participates in all of our life experiences, I completed my Massage Therapy Certification. As I continued to work with more people in therapy, I learned about a novel approach that I could use to bridge these two disciplines, and I became a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I am licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and I virtually assist folks living in Florida, North Carolina, and Massachusetts. For over 30 years I have worked with people within adolescent, adult, and elder populations, US military veterans, and folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. Hi! I am a dually licensed therapist in both Florida and North Carolina. I began my education later in my adult life, and believed I had arrived late to the game. But I found that life experience paired with my own belief system, allowed me the opportunity to view life's challenges through a unique lens, and because of that I am non-judgmental and empathetic towards people who are struggling with the hurts life has dealt them. I believe in using a collaborative approach in helping my clients. I use evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Motivational Therapy, as well as Christian Counseling. I am supportive, yet direct with empathy, compassion and help you address the barriers in your life that are causing you pain and distress.

Since that time, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients. Each of them came into service bringing a unique history and presenting with equally distinct needs and expectations of counseling. As a therapist, I treat a wide range of mental health issues and life adjustment challenges. I am experienced in helping clients relieve anxiety using various techniques, including neuro-linguistic programming. For those who have suffered past traumatic events, we can use cognitive/behavioral tools to help reconcile the emotions connected to the events. If you happen to live in or near Ocala and are able to come in person for session, we can utilize a treatment called Accelerated Resolution Therapy to neutralize heightened emotional responses.

Are you looking for a space to navigate current stressors—somewhere you can unwind and express thoughts or emotions that feel too heavy to carry alone? Do you want support in understanding mental health symptoms or building a personalized toolbox of coping skills? Hi, I’m Maryam. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, born and raised, and of Venezuelan descent. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish. I graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in Psychology and Health Sciences and later earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. My clinical experience includes working in mobile crisis response, outpatient counseling, addiction treatment, and telehealth therapy. Across all settings, my priority is to create a non-judgmental, safe, and welcoming environment where you can work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I take a holistic approach and integrate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including art and music-inspired techniques, cognitive reframing to challenge negative self-talk, solution-focused strategies, and what I like to call “care-frontation.” I often offer optional tasks or reflections between sessions to help deepen your progress. I’d be honored to support you as we begin this healing journey together.
