(she/her)
Salutations, and welcome. I invite you to join me on a healing journey where you can feel seen, supported, and safe. I am a licensed mental health counselor, EMDR-trained clinician, and registered art therapist with more than a decade of trauma-informed experience. My approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, and deep respect for you as the expert of your own life. I use a person-centered style and integrate a variety of approaches, including EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, solution-focused methods, sand tray work, and traditional talk therapy. This allows me to tailor sessions to your unique needs, goals, and personality. I find great joy in walking alongside clients as they grow, heal, and create the version of themselves they wish to become.
Our first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic connection. I will invite you to share what brings you to therapy, your past experiences, and the goals you hope to work toward. We will also talk through expectations for treatment and review any important policies. Together, we will start shaping a plan that reflects your needs and helps guide our future sessions. My focus is always on creating a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable exploring your story at your own pace.
Empathy is at the heart of my work. I meet clients exactly where they are and support them with honesty, compassion, and a down-to-earth attitude. I believe every emotion has a place, and part of our work is learning to recognize, honor, and use those emotions in ways that support healing and growth. I bring a flexible, curious, and at times humorous approach to therapy. Clients often describe me as relatable and grounded. My goal is to create a space where you can be fully yourself and feel understood as you explore change and build new skills.
I am especially passionate about supporting clients who feel stuck, unseen, overwhelmed, or unsure about their purpose. Many of the individuals I work with ask themselves questions like: Why do I respond this way? How do I move forward? Why does this keep happening? Who am I becoming? My clients often desire change but have not been given a clear roadmap. They may struggle with self-doubt, fear of failure, or feeling disconnected from themselves. I work with individuals who want to build self-love, heal old wounds, develop emotional awareness, and create a more fulfilling life. Over the last 11 years, I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan—from preschoolers to older adults—addressing concerns such as trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, self-esteem, parenting challenges, and stress. In my current practice, I welcome clients ages 13 to 85+ who are ready to learn new skills, explore new perspectives, and actively participate in their healing journey.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe each person is unique and the expert of their life. I strive to create an environment that this laid back, therapeutic, and judgement free.
EMDR
The use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) uses bilateral stimulation to reprocess memories and reduce or alleviate impacts of trauma and fear. I derive pleasure out of seeing growth in self esteem, self efficacy, and sense of security through the use of EMDR.
Eclectic
I utilize a diverse selection of methods and interventions to meet the needs of each client. Clients can expect an experience they may include talk therapy, mindfulness, solution focus, sand tray, and art therapy (Artistic skills are not necessary to benefit from this mthod.)
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The use of CBT provides clients the ability to transform behavior through the restructuring their thought process. Client learn to manage thoughts, cope with emotions, and alter behavior to enhance there life experiences.
Psychoeducation
Providing psychoeducation to my clients allows them to make informed decisions and promotes increases in solution focus, acceptance, commitment to treatment, and movements towards a higher quality of life.
