My passion for Mental Health and Counseling has led me to serve the community as a Counselor. I believe that everyone's story deserves to be heard. The role of my job is not to give you advice, rather it is to be there for you and help you achieve your objectives. I aim to help people improve their life through working on their problems and building coping skills to deal with life challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions so we can get to know each other, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are helping individuals achieve a sense of balance in their lives, help manage co-occurring behavioral and medical conditions, and provide behavior consultation for parents dealing with children who have trouble behaving.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have experience working with individuals with chronic health issues, aging, life transitions, depression and anxiety. I enjoy working with the LGBTQI community; providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for growth and development. I have over 25 years of experience assisting parents with children with special needs and behavioral difficulties.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person Centered approach is a therapy that empowers the client to take ownership of their mental well-being. I will provide a safe space for clients to become more self-aware and find their own solutions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety and depression. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

There will be times when you may be going through a life adjustment or transition. During these types of times it can be beneficial to use a brief therapy like SFBT. . It is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioral change.
