I have enjoyed working with children and adolescents and bring this experience with me , yet I am currently working primarily with adults which includes a special enjoyment to help couples to successfully transform limiting patterns and develop clear communication and listening skills. I have learned so much about life transitions through my work with trauma, hospice, death and dying, treatment foster care, eating disorders and liaison work with educational and community. I’m Jose Garcia, LICSW, a bilingual therapist with over 12 years of experience. I specialize in helping clients navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and substance use. Using a collaborative and solution-focused approach, I work with you to identify practical strategies and solutions, empowering you to make meaningful changes in your life. Hi, I'm Hayley, a Licensed Professional Counselor. You’ve already taken a huge step in prioritizing your mental health. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, or disconnected. They may not know exactly how to move forward, but they know something needs to change.
I specialize in working with young adults and women navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and burnout. Together, we focus on building confidence, balance, and self-compassion, using humor and perseverance to navigate challenges along the way.
My approach blends evidence-based practices such as CBT and mindfulness with warmth, authenticity, and compassion. I help clients better understand their thought patterns, regulate emotions, and develop the tools needed to create real, lasting change.
In our work together, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, rediscover what makes you feel alive, and remember that growth is possible — even in the toughest moments.
I know reaching out for help can feel intimidating, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t have to do it alone. If you're ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
Have you ever felt misunderstood by family and friends? Find it difficult to trust others including professionals? Have difficulty being seen as a person and not your condition? Do you feel alone? Do you struggle with adapting and accepting your chronic illness or chronic pain? Let's talk! I can help you build tools to gain strength and confidence in managing your personal challenges.
I empower adults with chronic illness/ pain or a history of abuse to take back their control and create healthy supports in order to stay on a path towards healing. Our experiences with our body or from how others treat us create unhealthy pathways for self regulation often exhibited as anger or anxiety. The compassion and guidance I provide will rewire those pathways allowing you to be the best version of yourself. In our sessions together, we will work on making small manageable changes through mindfulness, changing behaviors and embracing a positive healthy mindset. It’s often scary to start therapy for the first time or even to go back to therapy but it is the best self care gift you can give to yourself.
I listen and try to understand your situation and learn what it's like to be you. I can offer suggestions but I won't tell you what to do. I believe that my clients know what they need to do to help them heal, it might not be clear right away but after I am able to understand your problems we can work together to find solutions.
It's a big step to seek counseling and to go into therapy. I respect everyone who wants to improve their mental health and well being. It isn't easy to seek help and allow oneself to be vulnerable and share ones' experience. I have listened to thousands of people and I am delighted hear everyone's story to see how I can help.
Have you been experiencing challenges related to personal relationships or workplace stress? Have you been experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or frustration? Are you having difficulty finding happiness or fulfillment in your life?

For more than 25 years as a social worker, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and build the skills needed to create meaningful change. I also believe therapy should be both practical and empowering. Together, we will look for creative solutions, build resilience, and strengthen your confidence in handling whatever comes your way. Change is not always easy, but you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you reduce your struggles, reconnect with your strengths, and discover the tools you need not just to cope, but to thrive in your daily life and relationships. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, I will meet you where you are and work with you at a pace that feels manageable, hopeful, and grounded in your strengths so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
In walking life’s path we can encounter crossroads, or obstacles, which block our ability to see ahead. We might get flooded with anxiety, or bogged down by choice; pausing our journey. One positive way to resume progress is to gain insight into the challenge, and find a next step. Taking that step shifts perspective, enabling the discovery of yet more steps.
I bring 17 years of experience and believe firmly that nothing shifts in the therapeutic space unless clients feel seen and connected to their clinician.
I am warm and direct, personable and challenging. I move through my life with curiosity and wonder at the natural world and the power of relationships.
I love swimming in fresh water, non-fiction books, spending time with my teenagers and hanging out in my gardens. I specialize in sexual and gender identity and look forward to building relationships with people that are motivated to move forward, begin healing and expanding their world.

Hello, my name is Kelley Machado, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut. You may wonder what does Licensed Clinical Social Worker mean, what does that allow me to do? As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have the unique opportunity to help people work through various points in their lives. In the years I have been a social worker I have worked with various populations of people from many socioeconomic, cultural, and racial backgrounds as well as people with various presenting concerns. I began my career working in the mental health system, then the criminal justice system, then onto medical social work including various medical issues as well as aging and end of life concerns.
I believe people can experience difficulties with coping whenever faced with a transition in life. These changes can include monumental transitions that are both good or bad, like a new job, new family members, loss, separations, disappointments, traumatic events, etc. These types of experiences can cause psychosocial distress which can have far-reaching impacts on many aspects of our lives. I work with my clients who include children, adults, couples, and families to find healthy coping methods in order to gain a healthier perception of themselves which can help to strengthen their relationships with themselves and others so they can find themselves as comfortable, secure, and whole.
I take time to get to know each of my clients on an individual basis so that I can tailor approaches to care because I have learned that not one approach impacts and helps all clients. I have been trained and adopted many approaches to provide therapeutic support including cognitive-behavioral, attachment theory, developmental theory, trauma theory, and dialectical behavioral theory.
Change is not easy and embarking on change takes a tremendous amount of courage and actions. I congratulate you on your wish, strength, and wisdom for seeking help and taking this first step towards making a change in your life. If you are prepared to move beyond wishes and intentions to action and fulfillment- I am here to empower and support you to achieve your goals. I would love to help you reach your goals, whatever that may be in life so you can move forward
Hi, I’m Heather Plourde, LPC. I’m a licensed professional counselor who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation — not a clinical interrogation or a place where you have to pretend you have it all together. I’ve worked across private practice, community programs, and leadership roles in mental health, so I’ve seen just about every version of “life got complicated,” and I know change doesn’t happen through advice alone.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) with a decade of clinical experience supporting individuals through some of life's most difficult challenges. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling from Central Connecticut State University, with specialized training in addictions recovery, mental health, and rehabilitation.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of clients across diverse and often high-stakes settings. Most recently, I spent seven years as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Garner Correctional Institution, providing individual counseling, group therapy, and crisis intervention to justice-involved adults navigating complex mental health needs, trauma, and reentry challenges. Prior to that, I served as an Outpatient Therapist at Farrell Treatment Center, where I helped establish a new Intensive Outpatient Program and delivered trauma-informed, gender-responsive care to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. My earlier work with the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut and the Hospital for Special Care deepened my understanding of how neurological, behavioral, and emotional health intersect.
I work with men, women, teenagers, and young adults of any gender, race, religious background, or sexual orientation who are open to learning new skills and committed to meaningful goals in therapy. Clients often come to me seeking support with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of adverse life experiences. Drawing on evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I tailor treatment to each client's strengths, values, and goals. I am committed to providing a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where every client feels respected, heard, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.
Hey! I am a father, a husband, and a compassionate human being who finds pleasure in helping others. I hold a LCSW licensure from NYU and have experience working in the home-setting, hospital-setting and now private practice. I have worked with both individuals and in groups and take great pride in my work. I enjoy being part of the journey towards change, growth and fulfilment.
With over 15 years of experience in human services, I am a dedicated and compassionate social worker committed to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. Throughout my career, I have held leadership roles and developed extensive experience in crisis intervention, community engagement, and client advocacy. I understand that reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Welcome!
I’m so happy to have you here!
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working with individuals across a variety of populations and age ranges. I primarily work with adults, young adults, and adolescents who may be navigating a range of mental health concerns and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, adjustment concerns, trauma, grief, familial conflict, and various life transitions.
Throughout my career, I have also had opportunities to work with individuals and families impacted by autism spectrum disorder, early intervention (ages 0–3), LGBTQ+ clients, couples, parenting concerns, and academic or school-related challenges. My approach is individualized, and I recognize that every person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, and goals to therapy.
In addition to providing clinical services, I also serve as a clinical supervisor, supporting emerging clinicians as they develop their clinical skills, confidence, and professional identity.
Together, we will explore what brings you to therapy, identify the areas you would like to focus on, and develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and priorities.
I strive to provide a warm, supportive, strengths-based, and holistic approach to therapy. I believe that creating a genuine, comfortable therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process, and I am committed to showing up consistently and authentically as we work together toward meaningful change.
Let’s start tackling the stressors and challenges you’re facing together. For our virtual sessions, grab a coffee or tea, a snack, a heated blanket, your pet, a fidget, or whatever helps you feel comfortable and cozy from the comfort of your own home.
