My therapy style is grounded in mindfulness and positive psychology, focusing on empowering clients to build a stronger sense of self. I help clients reframe negative thoughts, develop coping techniques, and use tailored homework assignments to foster growth and a healthier sense of identity. I often tell clients they’re like a puzzle with all the pieces they need—I’m simply here to help them put those pieces together. Through this process, I guide clients to recognize their strengths, stay present, and find value in themselves as they work toward personal growth and fulfillment.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin by gently getting to know one another, creating a calm and supportive space where you can feel heard and seen. We'll take time to explore what’s bringing you in, paying attention to your thoughts, emotions, and any patterns that may be causing discomfort. This mindful beginning helps us co-create a personalized path forward—one rooted in presence, self-awareness, and compassionate growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I bring a culturally sensitive, spiritually grounded, and mindfulness-based approach to my work, which allows me to connect with individuals on a deeper level. I am especially attuned to the unique experiences of individuals from minority backgrounds, and I value meeting clients where they are. I see each person as the expert in their own life, and I view my role as walking alongside them—helping them rediscover their strengths, gain clarity, and move toward healing. My calm presence, positive outlook, and dedication to empowerment help clients feel supported while they navigate difficult transitions or emotional challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am passionate about supporting minority populations and college-aged students. While I do not have an "ideal" client, I find fulfillment in working with individuals who are open to growth and healing through a mindful and spiritual lens. My approach is centered on helping clients navigate their struggles with compassion, presence, and a deeper connection to self-awareness and purpose.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I am an experienced clinician with a strong foundation in mindfulness-based therapy, integrating practices such as mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), meditation, and breathing techniques into individual and relationship counseling. My therapeutic approach combines mindfulness with elements of positive psychology and CBT to help clients stay grounded, build self-awareness, and develop coping strategies for stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation. I empower clients through present-focused interventions and personalized homework to foster resilience, self-compassion, and long-term well-being.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, build healthier coping strategies, and promote emotional well-being. With over 15 years as a clinician, I integrate CBT techniques to support clients in managing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. I tailor CBT interventions to each individual's needs, often combining them with mindfulness and motivational interviewing to enhance self-awareness, empowerment, and long-term growth.

Multicultural

As a clinician and a minority myself, I bring both personal and professional insight into the importance of culturally sensitive care. I have extensive experience utilizing multicultural treatment methods, grounded in a deep understanding of cultural identity, diversity, and the unique challenges faced by individuals from various backgrounds. I prioritize cultural awareness in every therapeutic relationship, ensuring that clients feel seen, respected, and understood. My approach integrates culturally responsive techniques that honor each client’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences, particularly within minority and underserved communities to foster trust, empowerment, and meaningful healing.
